Karlo Frakchiya was a Sahren general, politician, president, and mayor of Klensagrad. He was born on month 2114. The birth location is disputed, in one interview Frakchiya stated he was born in the countryside in a farmhouse near Slovale but the farmhouse he claims to have been born in was destroyed in a fire in 2128.

Early life

Frakchiya was born on month 2114, exactly twenty years before Sahrland was first recognized as a sovereign state by another nation. His parents were Daria Frakchiya and Korgawsi Frakchiya.

He was only 14 years of age by the time the war of the Egercias began making him by only a year away from being an adult by the laws at the time. On month 2125 his father Korgawsi frakchiya was killed by an artillery shell. Karlo frakchiya joined the Pan-Egercian people's militia by month of the same year.

Career

War of the Egercias

Under the Pan-Egercian people's militia Frakchiya served as a partisan sabotaging the Kravsmad-Medraria supply line. Heavy casualties cause the paramilitary to shift operations to sabotaging the beseigers of Klensthail (now Klensagrad).

Frakchiya became a part of the Sahren royal armed forces when the Pan-Egercian people's milita was merged.

Moderate stihlovism activism

Frakchiya was a prominant unionist and gained a reputation for negotiating alliances between groups of workers. Later he became one of the founding members of the Stihlovist-democratic Labour party, though involvement was intentionally kept vague as the organization was outlawwed. The organization became a unified front for all radical left leaning politics in the country, and as a result tensions in the party were high as soon as it was founded. Out of the factions within the party the moderate wing began to look to Frakchiya as a leader while the radical wing followed Otsahrlandinagorodtsev.

2139 coup

In the riots leading up to the 2139 coup many striking workers pledged loyalty to the SDLP. The party didnt fully commit due to internal dysfunction but supported the workers regardless. Frakchiya grew frustrated of the party and rallied the moderate wing to launch a counterrevolution, hoping to seize armouries and arm the workers to institute a Stihlovist state. The radical wing did not join the moderates, effectively formalising the split in the party.

Frakchiya's coup was a disorganized disaster which was quickly beaten as they tried to seize the armouries at Klensagrad and several important government buildings. Frakchiya was captured and charged with conspiracy against state. While being held in a temporary cell in Klensagrad the facility was raided by unionised workers along with many other captured activists. He was then smuggled out of the country via tugboat into Phoenia.

Sahren Civil War

In the years leading up to the civil war Frakchiya rallied the moderates into joining the Republican coalition with Nedfry Svoboda. He was also promoted to general for lack of any better candidates. Upon beginning of the war Frakchiya was put in charge of the forces in the north in an attempt to march past Dugthail to Slovale, and was swiftly stopped contributing to the adoption of the Strateis Bastiya.

Frakchiya was placed in command over the forces to partake in Operation Heteroatom to capture the city of Slovale while simultaneously other forces would make moves on Klensagrad. Comparitively low casualties were taken by the Republicans in this battle as both the NSP and LP retreated within only 5 hours of fighting, as they had already made plans for a ceasefire and retreat into the Vagani region.

Vagani Campaign

Frakchiya was ordered to take the remains of the Sahren Republican guard and chase after the united front as they retreated into the unorganized territories in the west. The campaign was plagued with disorganization and supply shortages.

Entry into politics & first term

Frakchiya's first appearance after the injury took the media by storm, carefully crafting an image of a dashing and capable war hero still adamantly continuing the revolution after the loss of a beloved limb. Shortly after arriving in Sahrland for the first time since the war he announced plans to run for the 2150 election. Taking advantage of the surge of pan-aontism in recent times, he also planned a reformation of Greater Aontas with Phoenia. The election ended with a comfortable majority voting for him, and he swiftly set to work the Reformation of Greater Aontas. In order to solve prior disagreements the new government did not push for Ria and compromised only taking Baile and Kravsmad in the union agreement.

With this settled, Frakchiya set to defining the Sahren economic policy for the next century. The "Final battle of the Revolution" planned a rapid industrialisation of the Sahren economy to bring it up to foreign standards with two five year plans. Frakchiya's first term was dominated by the first five year plan which was specifically concerned with reorganizing the rural parts of the country into communes and increasing agricultural output through modernisation of technology and infrastructure. This had the effect of elevating the peasantry's power and autonomy, but also drew many critics arguing the nation was slipping too far to the Kralnovists they just spent the last ten years fighting. Regardless of the pushback by late 2154 infrastructure development and mechanization of equipment increased yields to just below production quotas, which were deliberately set higher than was expected. Satisfied with this conclusion, Frakchiya began planning the second five year plan and his second term as president.

Second term

The damage done to his reputation from the first five year plan harmed his performance in his second election, technically securing victory but agitating a large portion of the population. The protests following his election were the largest post civil war dmonstrations at the time, and greatly destabilized the young regime. Frakchiya attempted to bring forth the second five year plan anyways, which would entail mass production of steel and machine parts to rid the country of reliance on foreign motors. The political deadlock left the president and parliament innefective at governing and effectively left Kirbo Lavro as the de-facto dictator of the country. This situation continued until 2157 when Frakchiya resigned, citing popular support against his policies as proof the five year plan may have gone too far in it's second form.

Mayor of Klensagrad

Frakchiya continued the precedent of holding smaller public office after the presidency that Svoboda set. He set his sights on Klensagrad where his base of support had historically been highest and became mayor of the city in 2158. It was still recovering from the fighting during the civil war, so his reputation for radical industrialisation demonstrated during the presidency was a key factor in successfully winning.
