Slovale is a coastal city in Sahr.
Etymology
Slovale comes from a Chevspendi word for praise. As the popular myth goes, Slovale was named as such because the Chevspendic invaders first saw sight of the coast roughly around where Slovale is today and set up a logistics camp which later evolved into the city.
History
Formation
The area now occupied by Slovale was host to various hamlets and small settlements after Aontan colonists settled Egercia. For much of history this was the northernmost frontier of Egercia, offering unparralelled freedom and miniscule taxes. The city of Slovale itself was founded as a logistical camp for the Chevspendics to continue operations into Egercia in 2107. It became a popular location for shipping and fishing soon after as the two islands off the coast blocked harsh weather.
War of the Egericas
Slovale became the temporary capital of Sahrland after the counterattack during the War of the Egercias. A wide variety of refugees flooded the city and many armament manufactories were created to rebuild the royal armed forces.
Sahren Civil War

In the leadup to and during the Sahren Civil War Slovale was placed under siege three times, with up to 80% of all buildings being damaged in a significant capacity or destroyed. Refugees fled to the countryside, overwhelming the agricultural system which at the time barely coped with the war communism laws. Many citizens of Slovale starved, were killed in the fighting, or suffered disease and chemical attacks.
Reconstruction
The left leaning wing of the Republican coalition were very optimistic about rebuilding Slovale with their new economic theories in mind. The resulting reconstruction council was stacked with these worker's party theorists, and prisoners of war were allocated as penal labour for up to 8 years to rebuild infrastructure in Slovale.
Former Strecha members were able to re-establish the Strecha movement and much of the local political power it once held.
