The PAI Ta-16 Strela (Arrow) is a Kalban Supersonic Airliner, operated in small numbers by the Kalban Airforce as a diplomatic transport. The aircraft was designed shortly after the conclusion of the Reconstruction of Kalbanija, to showcase the newly developed air industry, and to provide an aircraft worthy of transporting the political elites of the country on diplomatic missions abroad, in safety and at high speed. It entered service in 2145 and was used since, remaining in active service with 6 aircraft constructed.
The aircraft is capable of very high speeds, over mach 3.5 with the true top speed being classified for safety. The aircraft boasts a large array of defensive systems to protect itself from attack, such as an advanced ECM system, advanced RWR and IR Missile warning and datalink capacity. It was also developed into an airborne command center, designed to insure continuity of civilian and military operations in case of war and destruction of Dolinia. Most information on this model, dubbed Ta-16B, remains classified.
