Halgonia
General Overview
The Republic of Halgonia is a nation located on Kerbin in the far northern regions of Kafrica. The Republic of Halgonia (RoH) is the sucessor state to the Democratic Peoples Republic of Halgonia (DPRH).
Known History
Early History
Little is known about events in the times preceding the Halgonian Uplifing, but one thing for certain is that the entire region was home to semi-feudal houses of the Halgonian, Vienan, and Bytherian ethnic groups. The DPRH properly formed once the Halgonian Ethnic groups united the region into the Halgonian state.
The Halgonian War and The Republic of Halgonia
The Halgonian War was a short lived conflict fought between the DPRH and its ally The Black League against a belligerent coalition of foreign nations. The Halgonian War was insitaged by international outcry at the success of Plan-G, the Ascension Process. Under the false pretext of Kerbal rights violations, the Coalition attempted orbital bombardment of the DPRH, which proved to damage little of value. Soon afterwards the Orion Empire hosted negotiations between Halgonia and the Coalition. The terms stated by the coalition demanded the end and re compensation of all who underwent the Ascension process, and that Halgonia would reform its governmental structure. Due to the nature and severity of the terms, The Halgonian delegate agreed to pass the terms along to a superior.
Creation of the Republic of Halgonia
The formation of the Republic of Halgonia was swift and almost silent. It would have stayed silent were it not for the High Autarch ordering their personal guard to engage the military units entering the senate building. The firefight and subsequent game of cat and mouse lasted nearly 3 hours. The High Autarch was found sitting in their study when Col. Rekki Kerman entered the room. He walked right up to the High Autarch, drew his silver engraved Smart pistol, set it to 'full burst' and simply gestured to the High Autarch to leave their chair. Having of course refused in half a second the Autarch was deposed with a single burst of 18 bullets from Rekki's pistol. Senators who were once captive by Rekki's contingent were released into the Autarch's study to see Rekki casually rifling through a desk drawer. Minutes later, Col. Orathan Rekki Kerman became the first chancellor of the RoH as he was sworn in on the spot.

[Sample text]The Halgonian military is Consisted of 4 Branches, Land Defense Combat Force (LDCF), Multirole Shock Force (MSF), Aerospace Defense Command (ADC), and the Ocean Combat Force (OCF).
Culture and Technology
Halgonian Culture is tightly knit with Technology, and they can be almost considered one and the same. The threat of war with other nations clearly represents itself as the Militarism of the DPRH has more or less carried over to the RoH, albeit with more precision and thought. Each and every Halgonian citizen has access to a wide variety of sources for outside information, coupled with the Halgonian War each citizen understands the dire need for Halgonian Sovereignty. Despite a life of plenty and prosperity, not one single halgonian is under delusion, all understand that their work contributes to keeping Halgonia alive and that every drop of sweat they spill every line of code they type, leads to the production of dozens of vehicles to defend the Republic, and the progress to the Halgonian Destiny.
Halgonian technological expertise is on par with most nations on and even off of Kerbin. Due to the masses of research and development during the beginning stages of Plan-G, Halgonian biological, medical, and mechanical prowess surpasses most nations in specific areas. These areas include molecular cybernetic bonding, augmented and virtual reality, robotics, and 3d printing, to name the most obvious. After the founding of the RoH, Halgonian companies and officials have reduced but not pulled funding from previous research to fund research into space exploration, exoatmospheric combat, and microgravity farming.
