Gorodsky is a former microstate and claimed successor to Arcadia, annexed in 2077 by Aenia as part of Operation Constantine
Etymology
Gorodsky (Go - Rod - Ski) is named for its large city and major port; Gorodsky. The name Gorodsky itself is derived from the Arcovi Yuzhnyy Gorod, meaning Southern City. Yuzhnyy would later become Zhnyy and Skiy.
Geography
Gorodsky is bordered to the west by Gagriel and to the north by Osiya (later Aenia). The nation is highly urbanised and while the city contains many green spaces it is large and sprawling. The climate of Port Gorodsky is warm but cool for the given latitude due to the moderating effects of the minor baskay bay.
Politics
Government
While Gorodsky operates under the same constitution as the preceeding Arcadian Union the previous single party government has been all but replaced by high ranking admiralty and a small number of local officials. Gorodsky operates to maintain and supply the expansive former Arcadian Maritime fleet.
Foreign Relations
Gorodsky was in a dejure state of war with Aenia up until Operation Constantine in 2077, Gorodsky is a former member of PAKT.
