Government

Seifare is constitutional monarchy, with the Sovereign Prince or Princess of Seifare as it’s head of state. For its entire existence, this ruling family has been the House of Resseifia, a position practically ratified in the Treaty of Secession signed by Fegeland and Algiza, which states that should the Principality be left with no heir related by blood to the Tahuako-Pomare Dynasty, the land will after a period no greater than four years after the reigning Prince or Princess' death or abdication cede back to its original owners and the State of Seifare be dissolved.

Aside from the Prince or Princess of Seifare, the government has two other prominent positions: Minister of State, and Mayor of Lotte Kyu.

The executive branch of government is led by the Minister of State, a Seifégasque, Feguan or Algizan national who is personally appointed by the Prince for a three year term. A Minister can serve up to three terms, however in exceptional circumstances should the Prince of Seifare and Mayor of Lotte Kyu deem the serving Minister unfit they may be removed from their position prematurely.

The street level affairs of the Capital and only city, Lotte Kyu, are managed by the Mayor of Lotte Kyu, the only elected position in the government and the third most powerful office in the nation after that of the Prince and the Minister of State. The Mayor holds responsibility for public transport, waste management, port authorities, and the conservation of cultural sites.

Foreign Relations

Seifare is an autonomous protectorate of Fegeland as a member of the Commonwealth of Feguanesia. Despite this, it has been controversially elected to the World Assembly Security Council. The Principality’s diplomatic outreach is limited, and most of its international interactions occur through state owned companies - but if approached and the terms are favourable, Seifare will nominally do business with any nation, anywhere. The position of Ambassador of Seifare is traditionally held by any one of the Prince or Princesses children, however this role rarely takes them beyond Doren or the Central Sea.

Demographics

Languages

The official language of the Principality is Feguan. Other languages spoken include Algizan and Seifégasque, the traditional language of Seifare. Despite being taught in all schools since 2125, it is now almost extinct and spoken by only a few hundred across the world.

Education

Education is ubiquitous in Seifare. The state operates five nurseries, four primary schools, and one secondary school. Each have adopted a form of on and off enrollment to allow for the children of citizens who may spend over half the year outside the Principality to seamlessly continue attendance after spending long periods away from Lotte Kyu, providing their education has been continued in some form while absent. Seifare is also home to one college.

Historically, Seifare's main sources of income have been tourism, gambling, banking and investments. In 2146, the Principality began expanding the nation's business holdings at an unprecedented rate, entering the international market for the first time.[1] This aggressive growth was marked by the takeover of companies such as Takáura and SeifAir. Under the Principality these would develop strong positions in the global commericial aviation market and the air carrier industry across Feguanesia respectively. This was followed soon after by the leasing of Wurati from the Sahr Republic Party, which signified an enormous effort to break into the global oil scene in a multinational partnership with the Laveskan government. These intiatives represented a significant change in the country’s economic policy and immense investments from the International Bank of Seifare.

Taxation

Seifare is a tax haven, which levies no personal income or corporate taxes on its citizens and businesses.

Transport

Seifare has a. Air traffic in the Principality flows solely from Lotte Kyu Heliport, which despite the name does possess two small runways. Jet traffic is almost universally banned with the exception of very light executive aircraft to avoid noise disturbance. Most international travel into the Principality is instead conducted through Kantapuha'i Airport in Algiza, from where taxis, buses or even helicopter rides can be taken into Seifare itself.

Energy and Infrastructure

Energy in the Principality is entirely imported from Fegeland, mainly through Imperial Atomic. Seifare is infrastructurally very well developed. As space is at such a large premium,

Trade

Almost the entirety of Seifare is an urban area and land is prohibitively expensive, so it’s agricultural output is effectively nonexistent. The leaving the limited fishing of Ranga Bay as the only considerable export. Many goods services throughout the nation are state held monopolies.
