Seifare, formally The Principality of Seifare, is an affluent sovereign microstate situated on the Feguanesian coast, within Ranga Bay and on the border of Fegeland and Algiza. It is home to 44,382 citizens, of which less than a third are Seifégasque nationals. It’s Capital and only settlement is Lotte Kyu, a city recognised as one of the wealthiest places on Kerbin. Seifare is an autonomous protectorate of Fegeland as a member of the Commonwealth of Feguanesia. Despite this, it has been controversially elected to the World Assembly Security Council. With an area of just 498km^2, it is the smallest independent state on Kerbin, and holds the highest GDP per Capita and highest GDP by Area in the world.

Government

Seifare is constitutional monarchy, with the Sovereign Prince or Princess of Seifare as it’s head of state. For its entire existence, this ruling family has been the House of Resseifia, a position practically ratified in the Treaty of Secession signed by Fegeland and Algiza, which states that should the Principality be left with no heir related by blood to the Tahuako-Pomare Dynasty, the land will after a period no greater than four years after the reigning Prince or Princess' death or abdication cede back to its original owners and the State of Seifare be dissolved.

Aside from the Prince or Princess of Seifare, the government has two other prominent positions: Minister of State, and Mayor of Lotte Kyu.

The executive branch of government is led by the Minister of State, a Seifégasque, Feguan or Algizan national who is personally appointed by the Prince for a three year term. A Minister can serve up to three terms, however in exceptional circumstances should the Prince of Seifare and Mayor of Lotte Kyu deem the serving Minister unfit they may be removed from their position prematurely.

The street level affairs of the Capital and only city, Lotte Kyu, are managed by the Mayor of Lotte Kyu, the only elected position in the government and the third most powerful office in the nation after that of the Prince and the Minister of State. The Mayor holds responsibility for public transport, waste management, port authorities, and the conservation of cultural sites.

Foreign Relations

Seifare is an autonomous protectorate of Fegeland as a member of the Commonwealth of Feguanesia. Despite this, it has been controversially elected to the World Assembly Security Council. The Principality’s diplomatic outreach limited, and most of its international interactions occur through state owned companies - but if approached and the terms are favourable, Seifare will nominally do business with any nation, anywhere. The position of Ambassador of Seifare is traditionally held by any one of the Prince or Princesses children, however this role rarely takes them beyond Doren and the Central Sea.

Trade

Historically, the Seifare's main sources of income have been tourism, gambling, and banking. With almost the entire nation being an urban area and land prohibitively expensive, it’s agricultural output is effectively nonexistent, leaving the limited fishing of Ranga Bay as the only considerable export. Many services throughout the nation are state held monopolies. In 2146, the Principality began expanding the nation's business holdings at an unprecedented rate, entering the international market for the first time.[1] This aggressive growth was marked by the takeover of businesses such as SeifAir, in a bid to dominate the civil aviation industry across Feguanesia, and the purchase of Wurati from the Sahr Republic Party, which signified an enormous effort to break into the global oil scene in a multinational partnership with the Laveskan Government. These intiatives represented a significant change in the country’s economic policy, and an immense investment from the International Bank of Seifare, but whether this attempt to expand into foreign sectors will prove successful remains to be seen.
