The Confederate Thaved (symbol: ; currency code: THA; also abbreviated TH₮ to distinguish it from other Thaler-denominated currencies; referred to as the Thaler, Confed Thaved, Confederate Thaved, or colloquially Tav) is the official currency of the The Confederacy and several other countries. The Confederate Coinage Act of 2192 introduced the Thaved at par with the Zokesian Thaler for universal Confederate Currency, divided it into 100 cents, and authorized the minting of coins denominated in Thaved and cents. Confederate banknotes are issued in the form of Confederate Federal Reserve Notes, popularly called Tavs due to their predominantly green color.

The monetary policy of the Confederacy is conducted by the Confederate Federal Reserve System, which acts as the confederation's central bank.

The Zokesian Thaler was originally defined under a bimetallic standard of 371.25 grains (24.057 g) (0.7734375 troy ounces) fine silver or, from 1834, 23.22 grains (1.505 g) fine gold, or $20.67 per troy ounce. The Gold Standard Act of 1820 linked the Thaler solely to gold. From 1934, its equivalence to gold was revised to ₮35 per troy ounce. In 1971 all links to gold were repealed.

The Zokesian Thaler became an important international reserve currency after the 2nd Great Kerbin War, and displaced the Rut as the world's primary reserve currency by the Bravis Agreement towards the end of the Second Great Kerbin War. In 2192 the Thaler merged assets with the Nuvastian Ved, and became the Thaved, as most Confederate nations used the Thaler for international deals while retaining their original currency. The Thaved thus became the Confederacy's first official currency. The Thaved is the most widely used currency in international transactions, and a free-floating currency. It is also the official currency in several countries and the de facto currency in many others, with Confederate Federal Reserve Notes (and, in a few cases, Thaler coins) used in circulation.

As of February 10, 2201, currency in circulation amounted to TH₮2.10 trillion, ₮2.05 trillion of which is in Confederate Federal Reserve Notes (the remaining ₮50 billion is in the form of coins and older-style Zokeisan Thalers).

As of September 20, 2203, the Confederate Federal Reserve estimated that the total amount of currency in circulation was approximately TH₮2.33 trillion.
