Slow Bomb
Slow Bombs is the name given to asteroids which are turned into bombardment weapons. They are spoken in terms of fear and despair being some of the most deadly weapons used in war on and off the planet Kerbin. In the razing of Korfu by Grestin in 2090, 1 in 10 kerbals on the island were killed during the attacks.[1] The weapons are named for the significant lengths of time it takes for them to traverse the large distances of interplanetary space, arriving many days or weeks after the launch command is received. This inherent slowness increases the sinister and baleful nature of the slow bomb, as any usage of the weapon must be planned far in advance, leading to rampant speculation and conspiracy theories.
Buy an Armageddon
In 2067, New Grestin Space News announced the "Buy an Armageddon" program,[2] redirecting asteroids from around Dres and their Dres spaceport, to destinations of their choice, fees ranged from 50,000 funds for small, class A asteroids, and 1,250,000 funds for large, class E, asteroids.[2] With an extra fee for locations, with Kerbin (excluding New Grestin) being free. Additional fees were applied for speed. In the aftermath of this, Mechani issued a statement directing New Grestin that this was an act of war.[3]
