The Rædhfil-Type-9 is a gas operated automatic rifle developed in Sahr by the Adaman Armoury.

Operation

The rifle is direct-impingement, gas operated and automatic fire. The Rædhfil-Type-9 was manufactured on principle of austerity and as such its wooden construction shoots the wight up to 3.6 kilograms. The rifle fires from a 20 round aluminium box magazine. Adjustable iron sights make up the only method of targetting, as it lacks implements to mount anything else. A large muzzle brake at the end directs gases upward in an effort to reduce recoil.

Rounds enter the rifle from the bottom and eject out the top of the rifle, which was a feature taken directly from the MP.æ-Type-11. A bayonet of two feet length comes standard, as it was expected these would act as pikes for resisting dragoon charges.

Performance

The rifle showed inferiority of foreign models in almost every category, but remained the main armament of the Sahren Royal armed forces and later Sahren Republican Guard until the late 2150s due to simplified construction.

It recieved many upgrades over its service life, most of which aimed to address the unreliability of the automatic fire mode.
