The R&D Realta Ceardæocht speisælta 2 or Rianrothar (trackbicycle) is a tractor motorcycle designed by R&D Realta and used by the Sahren Republican Guard Air-corp.

Design

The Rianrothar began its life as a light tractor for airborne troops and towing the then upcoming KÆM-24. It was designed to fit within a standardised 1.8metre tube for ease of transport.

The vessel has seven wheels, one of which stears. The rest are powered by an Alkan Tractor Company LFO turbine which feeds from a 36 litre tank. Due to the number of wheels, it can travel up to 30 degree elevation. These wheels may be folded underneeth for transport, lowering the width to only 1 metre.

The first ten degrees of stearing in either direction are directly proportional to handlebar rotation, from then the next 5 degrees of handlebar rotation are amplified fivefold, meaning the handlebars can only rotate fifteen degrees while the wheel itself rotates forty. This unconventional layout gives it have a tight turning radius, which was neccesitated by the Air-corp and Korych.

It may be equipped with a specialy designed trailer which can carry 180 litres of cargo.

Service

Most uses of the Rianrothar can be accomplished by a draft-capal so it sees usage in Sahrland only for very specific jobs, such as laying cable or towwing aircraft.
