the Phoenian Sahren terror war took place on the border between Phoenia and Sahrland between the years of 2133 and 2148. The conflict was fought over Tekkian rule of Egercian speaking lands between the South Sahrland Revolutionaries and Phoenian federal military and Sahren Republican Guard.
Background
The war of the Egercias left the issue of Egercian nationalism unsolved. Medraria and Kravsmad were annexed into the Phoenia but Sahrland was left as the sole independent Egercian state. The South Sahrland Revolutionaries were formed in 2124 by south Egercian nationalists who saw Sahrland as the legitimate ruler of Egercia rather than a Tekkian administration.
2130s
There is little agreement on the time which the terror war began. Some writers put it at 2124 with the founding of the organization, and others put it as late as 2135 when the Phoenian federal army drastically increased garrison forces in the region.
On month 2126 during a festival celebrating the ten year anniversary of the foundation of Phoenia the SSR attempted to bomb monuments in the area but many failed to detonate. SSR membership at the time was low but growing. The loyalist paramilitaries Rokfor Unionist Volunteers and Ria Defence Army were founded. By 2139 the Regency Junta in sahrland invigorated Egercian nationalists as it became clear the Sahren government would not take action.
2133 riots
On month 2133, 17 SSR members bombarded an RDA march with stones and bricks. This escalated into molotov cocktails. The numbers of SSR and RDA quickly inflated with locals and a gunfight occurred. Both groups fled piecemeal when the Phoenian army arrived to put down the riot.
Later on month 2133 the RDA was ordered to disband by the Phoenian government. The RDA and RUV protested in the streets of Rokfor and ultimately ignored the order. For the rest of the year the SSR carried out a number of bombings and attacks on loyalists in Egercia.
2140s
The years of 2141 and 2142 saw the peak of violence with 236 and 299 civilians killed respectively. These are attributed to increases of firefights between the SSR and Phoenian army. 135 firearm based involvements were recorded between 2140 and 2145. The SSR sanctioned these attacks in order to instigate responses which could rally popular support for Egercian independence. In 2140-2145 least 500 bombings were traced to the SSR but the number is suspected to be roughly 900.
At the start of the Sahren Civil war in 2144 the SSR shifted bombing targets to routes of supply for the Republicans as they were seen as a Phoenian puppet faction. A National Salvation party victory was desired almost unanimously among SSR members as they were the most likely government to declare war to conquer Egercia.
Decline of the SSR (2146-2148)
Efforts to cause an NSP victory were in vain as the Republicans declared victory in 2146.
In month 2148 Sahrland entered the war on the side of Phoenia. Sahren involvement was a major blow to the SSR as a majority of weapons were purchased illegally from Sahrland. SSR leadership remained committed to incite rebellion regardless. SSR members skirmished on the Phoenian border with the Sahren Republican guard to secure weapon shipments and to incite anti Republican sentiment.
On month 45 RUV members illegally stormed an SSR hideout in Baile. Both sides refused to withdraw and the battle dragged on for 4 days. Public support for unionist and nationalist paramilitaries collapsed as the possibility of the greater Aontan cultural sphere uniting became a popular political talking point.
The SSR was passified by month and faded into obscurity. By the time of the 2150 Aontan unitication the SSR was thought to have disappeared as an organization.

Having failed to cause a major breakdown of civil governance lasting more than a year, the SSR has left little impact outside of a souring of tensions and destruction of property and life. While deathcounts were relatively low, it is generallly estimated 30000 were injurred across the entire campaign. Many children and young adults suffered from trauma related to bombings.
