The Nrida IV class destroyer is a guided missile destroyer class of four ships built for service in the Kalban Bay Flotilla. They were constructed from 2054 to 2055 to replace the Balgred II class frigates. It is named after the river Nrida in the KSKM.

It is the basis for the majorly similar "Hook" class destroyers, named after Troakia's Left Hook Island, and the "Carigrad" class named after a major Behian city

Etymology

The river Nrida is the largest river in the KSKM, and the latter's capital Balgred is built upon its shores. Nrida has already been used for three other ships: A prototype super destroyer, a converted Balgred submarine mothership and a light submarine mothership.

The currently known models are Nrida, Balgred (named after the KSKM's capital), Port Gorika (Major naval base and capital of Mentonogro), Rotok (Major coastal city), Hook (Troakian island), Zerban (Troakian capital).

Equipment

Nridas are the first Kalban ship to have an aircraft carrying capability (Although this was also planned for the Balgred class, in practice a fitting carrier drone was not developed until much later). Each can carry a single URV-1M tilt-wing reconnaissance drone.

As of 2059, all Nridas will get a weapon refit to enable them to carry more missiles, heavier CIWS weapons and a new autoloaded 76mm gun.
