The Arkadii-Soyuz Class is a class of two Aircraft Cruisers currently employed by the Arcadian Maritime Forces, and the Carsodonian Blue Water Fleet. The class derives its name from the unity of the Arcadian and Zokesian people after the defeat of the Arkadii-Zokesian war, and the new nation of Arkadii-Zokesia. They are the largest ships to serve in the Arkadii-Zokesian combined navys and are two of the largest surface vessels ever launched. The first of the class, hull #228, later designated the 'Arkadii-Soyuz' was laid down in the beginning of 2083 and entered service at the end of the year due to massive funding towards the navy. Her sister ship, hull #229, later designated the 'Natalia Stihlovich' was laid down in mid 2083, and was launched at the end of 2084 due to budget cuts to the ship. While the Natalia never officially entered service with the Arcadian Maritime Forces, she was sold to the Carsodonian Blue Water Fleet in the beginning of 2085 due to lack of use for two capital ship carriers. A third hull #230 was laid down in 2086 and launched on the 30th anniversary of Unification day as the 'Princess Ella,' and was christened by the princess herself. In 2089, a manufacturing license was sold to Belanirislav, with which they produced 2 of.

Many of the team from OKB-73 who designed the Arkadii-Soyuz are currently working on the new ST-459 project.

Design

Design work for the Arkadii-Soyuz began the day the AMF was re-established in New Arcovy in order to quickly establish naval dominance within the Kolus region as well as pose a significant threat abroad. Empress Governer Natalia Stihlovich ordered the construction of a new capital ship capable of supporting a compliment of 40 aircraft in order to project Arcadian naval power. The ships were designed by the newly founded OKB-73, run by the same people who designed the Novgorod Class Battleship, and Vladivostok Class Aircraft Cruiser. In order to pass through the Nautilus Straits without causing international backlash the ship was designed to be lighter than the majority of carriers, as well as being designated a Aircraft Cruiser instead of the standard Aircraft Carrier designation. OKB-73 engineer Vasily Cherki finished work for the proposed Arkadii-Soyuz Class, featuring an underdeck hangar as well as new electric propulsion, on January 11th, 2083 and construction immediately began. The Arcadian Maritime Forces placed an order for two of the ships. Using new modular building techniques, hull #228 was launched on October 28th, 2083 and christened the Arkadii-Soyuz by Natalia Stihlovich at Shipyard-146 30km northwest of New Arcovy. It has a total length of 168.1m, a beam of 49.8m, and a total height of 27.2m.
