History
ADCL was first established following the creation of The Ascensionist Edict in 2197 in order to advocate for the policies proposed in the pamphlet. It has since been the main basis of all Ascensionist activism in Sahrland and Aontas

The main goal of Ascensionism is constant exploration of science, art, technology, and the universe. Ascensionists tend to view technology as a method of unlocking existing but unusable capital. An example of this is the development of transoceanic trade which is said to have increased the value of existing capital by allowing for the movement of labour and resources from places where they are plentiful to places where they are more desperately needed.
