Career

Fall of Aquaria

Becoming a Superace and Operation Twilight Spike

Arcellian attained Superace status at 23:50pm on the 22nd of January 2115, claiming a 25th aerial victory while repelling the counterattack of Operation Twilight Spike. Throughout the rest of the night he would score one more kill, bringing his tally for the day up to eight aircraft: six S/A-48 Ravens, and two F-77 Shrikes.

the Siege of Arrataxt and death

On January 23rd the next day he would earn a following five victories (one S/A-48 Raven and four F-77 Shrikes) during the Siege of Arrataxt, before being shot down and killed by a pilot of the AQAF's Ronin Squadron. His airplane struck the water off the coast of the island. Some weeks after the capitulation of Aquaria, the plane and his body were recovered from the Lakes, and he was given a formal burial. The recovery of the wreckage revealed his cause of death: while in the midst of a dogfight, Arcellian was struck directly by a 20mm shell fired by a Vulcan Autocannon which pierced the canopy of his E27 MAXIWraith and killed him nearly instantaneously.

In popular culture

The 2155 biographical drama series ‘Aerfel’s Ghosts’ documented the life of Arcellian, from serving in the Horde War to his ultimate death in 2115 during the Siege of Arrataxt. The series received widespread acclaim for its depiction of life in Sarconia after the Second Continental War.
