The Blokha class destroyer is a class of destroyers currently in active service in Sahrland. A total of 4 were proposed with only one being finished and another converted to a completely separate design.

Development

Plan Q called for 4 destroyers to be commissioned into the Sahren Navy. A design consisting of three 4 inch guns in two turrets was accepted and put into production, but soon this was changed to three 5 inch guns in single mounts. Funding failures resulted in construction taking far longer than originally planned.

Design and Armament

Design flaws were shown to be drastically miscalculated as soon as production began, the beam was too small to contain the armament desired. The 4 inch guns also proved poor against any armour, resulting in a varient of the type-2112 102mm howitzer to be created capable of firing foreign 127mm rounds. These design flaws contributed to the decision to cancel the two yet to be ordered Blokhas and upgrade the ones still in production.

The KC Midzha was converted into its own design in 2144 when it was seized by the Klensagrad Commune.

Service History

With the class now only consisting of one ship the service history is exlusively about the SN Blokha (No.25). It participated in one way or another in every regime change in Sahrland, consisting of the 2139 coup, the pozhar revolt, Sahren Civil War, Aughtafael coup, and the dissolution of sahrland bastia.
