ZQ-9 Harvester
The Cyten-Ward ZQ-9 Harvester (sometimes called Harvester B) is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV, one component of an unkerbed aircraft system (UAS)) capable of remotely controlled or autonomous flight operations, developed by Cyten-Ward Industries primarily for the Zokesian Royal Air Force. The ZQ-9 and other UAVs are referred to as Remotely Piloted Vehicles/Aircraft (RPV/RPA) by the ZRAF to indicate ground control by kerbals.
The ZQ-9 is a larger, heavier, more capable aircraft than the earlier ZQ-1 Thresher and can be controlled by the same ground systems. The Harvester has a single turbojet engine.
The aircraft is monitored and controlled, including weapons employment, by aircrew in the Ground Control Station (GCS). The ZQ-9 is the first hunter-killer UAV designed for long-endurance, high-altitude surveillance. In 2166, Chief of Staff of the Zokesian Royal Air Forcee General M. Tiber Tichael said: "We've moved from using UAVs primarily in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance roles before the Reclamation, to a true hunter-killer role with the Harvester."
