The Big Beautiful War, also known as the Chikushi Blues refers to the conflict in Kafrica between 2205-2207, in which the United States of Central Kafrica led by Blimp Drimp and Zokesia fought for control of Chikushinal, and following the election of a new liberal government, the destruction of Blimp Drimp's Faucks Free State in Southern Kafrica.

Background

Central Kafrican Elections of 2204

The process to becoming the President of Central Kafrica begins far before the polls are on the immediate horizon. Political parties, the juggernauts of the political world, from the minor, single issue parties, to the giants of the Constitutional Alliance Party and the Strelkan Kroman National Workers Party. Each has their eyes on the presidency in an ideal world, the requirements set out in the constitution are simple; be at least 26 of age, have some experience in any form of lower government, be it current or prior, or be above the age of 35. According to convention, the campaign begins in the latter stages of the year prior to the nation going to the polls, for a term of 5 years, amended to follow a more uniform process during the 2nd Reguwu Presidency.

With President Drimp being the incumbent to the leadership bid of the Strelkan Kroman National Workers Party, he sailed to a primary victory in the beginning of this year, despite the looming threat of losing both houses of Congress he remains steadfast and optimistic that he can win the memorial house in Rinn in this election. As part of Project 2205, the SKNWP is working on getting members elected not just in Kafrica but the wider continent as a whole. To support this, President Drimp in recent months has begun the redistricting of the nation, in a clear attempt to subvert the course of our democratic processes. He argues “The Constitutional Alliance Party is a threat to the Kafrican order, they are INVITING the Zokesians back in to our Nation! They are sticking our head into the mouth of the Tiger!”

Between the Constitutional Alliance Party, the main candidates, the ever increasing in popularity Lilly Barrett and the last candidate to stand for the party, Jeb Growler. For the voting membership of the party, the choice was between one Drimp had already defeated, and someone who had defeated Drimp’s party. Rallying in Bal, a city on the edges of the Kafrican Nation, home to the Dalry Airbase and the Bal Baracks, holding troops that defend us from the Stahl Seig’s long grasp. “You, as a community, know just as well as anyone else, that this entire anti-zokesian rhetoric is a facade! President Drimp himself is a Zokesian! He is a liar! Zokesians, who walk among you, are your friends, your families, your partners. So why must we hate them? We mustn't!”

Meanwhile in the Svarskian dominated towns of Southern Grestin, President Drimp’s campaign gathered steam, with multiple rallies near the border regions, begging his Svarskian friends to stay and vote in the Kafrican elections, a move that has brought criticism from the opposition relating to Faucks voting legislation allowing for Svarskians to vote in Kafrican elections, despite being nominally part of the Imperial Union, still hold the right to vote in the Central Kafrican electorate. As the first televised and livestreamed debates loomed, Lilly Barrett and President Blimp Drimp prepared their notes, unseen to the audience, President Drimp had a cue card system emplaced for his already failing memory. The agenda for Debate 1 was Kafrican security, with the failures of the Drimp Administration to secure any such Kafrican wide deals outside of in-principle good faith diplomacy. The incumbency, blaming the Stahl Sieg’s influence operations in the IU for this failure, saying that their operatives have attempted and succeeded in influencing their allies to a more antagonistic stance, wanting the Kafrican alliance to be a projection of Kafrican power, rather than a safeguard of Kafrican people.

Lilly Barrett hit back to the sitting President, a sharp tone reflecting upon Drimp’s calm, old handed voice; “Perhaps if this administration was willing to appease the powers at be for a more favourable deal, or perhaps if this administration stopped seeing any Kafrican affair as its own, it would be more palatable to the international system!” She cried out to Drimp, almost as if she was pleading with him not to do something stupid in his final days in office. Yet President Drimp, taking a moment to rebuke; “Without the Strelkan Kroman National Worker’s party, Central Kafrica would not exist as a respected regional power.” Despite this, it was well known to both of them that outside of the region, Central Kafrica was overshadowed by its neghbors, its power limited to their whims. Agreeing, Ms Barrett responded in a stern, yet still pressing tone; “Yes Mr President that is true, however there is much more that we can do, the administration sees enemies at its borders, you have said that Zokesia is the enemy, yet I have it on good authority that t he SS aren’t run by the Zokesian government, and that Chikushinal is Strelkan, your party is called the Strelkan Kroman National Worker’s party. Why is it such that Kafrica is antagonist towards other Kafrican nations? Isn’t that an afoot to our common sense?” The crowd was stunned as Lilly began to dismantle the worldview of the President who had commanded such power in the last two decades over his businesses. Despite this, DrimpTV had already proclaimed the crooked sore loser, traitor, Ms Lilly Barrett as the evil character of Satan himself.

With Debate 1 fading, in early September Debate 2 began to fire, this time on domestic issues, with particular focus held to the plight of PLAD 7, a deal that was meant to be signed last year, yet, with no green light in sight it remains in limbo.

“Mr President, I’m sure you’re aware of the scandalous nature of your dealings with PLAD, opening going against your own legislation for one, and for two, what happened to the deal?” The President gawked at the moderator, almost offended by his tone as Lilly Barrett rose to answer the occasion, allowing it, she spoke to the audience around the country: “It is a foreign influence operation, we have no idea who however we do not wish to speculate who, yet I believe that the aggressive actions at home and abroad of this Administration has caused this influence payoff of PLAD to deny Kafrican industry.” The President, again on the defensive snapped back “I have provided jobs, security and peace to the people in Southern Grestin, and it has been your party, the Constitutional Alliance Party that has ruined my southern Grestinian utopia”

It was this, the midterms in 2202, where CAP had defeated Drimp’s appointed senators and governors in Faucks with almost no vocal opposition to their leadership. With Grestinians believing that President Drimp would eventually sell the state to Svarskia for a profit, much like he tried to do with North Grestin when he saved them from a Stahl Seig government by paying the Stahl Seig to move out. The President responded, “I put my governors and my capable friends in charge to oversee the end of the chaos brought by Strelkan rule, I restored democracy. I could’ve very easily prevented the elections in Faucks 2 years ago. I made you Lilly, I let you win the elections, your party didn’t even say thank you Mr President you’re so kind.” Lilly Barrett was stunned by this, the President, openly mocking his debate opponent, her face scrunching up in anguish as she controlled her emotions: “And Mr President, do you believe that you can cancel the upcoming elections?” The President responded; “If there is fraud yes, i can and i will cancel fraudulent elections”

In other candidate related news, the candidate running his operation from Bown, Lulmir Sopa, who is better known under the name of Kerman Supreme has said that if elected all Kafricans are required to shoot another Kafrican in the face, and that he will ensure that President Drimp “gets the treatment he deserves in his Sopost villa” In reference to the Sexstien case which had gripped the nation over the last year and a half, multiple government promises broken. With no more debates before the people went to the polls in early November, the nation held its breath for an electorate spectacle.

In the final few days before the November polls, President Drimp announced that the voting booths will be manned by his troops, his private security, striking fear into anyone who intended to vote against him in the forthcoming elections. Multiple states threatened, their governors threatened, to call in their own security forces. As polling stations were setup by the national guard, President Drimp, on Dritter, wished his opponents “good luck against the tide of my patriots!”

Responding in kind on Dritter, Lilly Barret also wished her opponent, her major opponent for the election good luck and may he bask in the concession of victory at month's end.

November 6th, 2204, Kafrica went to the polls. Following all the fears and concern that Drimp’s security forces would overrun the election’s results, falsifying ballots in the states where he held the victories anyway to give him full control of their electors’ votes. None of that happened, because of the presence of the state militias. On the week ending November 6th, with a commanding lead in the electoral college, it was announced that President Drimp had lost the election, Lilly Barret, senator-govenor of Faucks was now President Elect of Central Kafrica. Yet President Drimp will not succeed victory to her, he announced that “I will not conceded memorial house, I won the election, it was defrauded away from me and the true Kafrican patriots who follow me” In the wake of this, President Drimp moved many forces, almost the entire Kafrican army and airforce, to the borders of Svarskia and Chikushinal, striking fear into the nation that in order to keep his position in memorial house, he will invade his neighbours and his allies.

January 8th Riot

January 8th, 2205, The last week has seen intensification of the claims of election fraud against the Constitutional Alliance Party by the departing President Drimp. Today, in multiple cities, including where the election is being certified in Bown, President Drimp held a rally, galvanising his supporters into taking back the election that was “Stolen from us in a clear act of leftist Zokesian backed foreign influence” He said to the supporters, cheering and holding rocks above their heads. Striking fear into the nearby security detachment of the Capitol building in Bown, Samwell State, where Senators, Governors and electors were assembling. At the same time, a commercial flight from Chikushinal, a black helicopter was landing at Bown International Airport, no travelers were processed through immigration.

At this moment, on the streets of Bown, protected by a skeleton federal security convoy, the Vice President, Moat Boat, who was to certify the results of the election, had his armoured vehicle pelted by rocks from Strelkan nationals and Drimp supporters. Cries of “TRAITOR” and “HANG HIM ON THE SCAFFOLD” could be heard from the crowd as he hunkered down from view, a display of cowardice in the knowledge of the fraudulent votes cast.

Meanwhile as the crowd began to get more and more restless, President Drimp told them “I have to go to dinner now, remember who you are, remember who your leader is, Kafrican.” His parting words met with applause as he left the podium, before being allowed to leave the city for Memorial House in Bown. With the rally dispersed and the attendees having nothing to do, the Senate began the process of certifying the 2204 election results. With each ballot cast, the shouts outside began to get louder and louder, before three loud thuds. Unknown to the Senators, Gunshots. Three gunshots had begun a scramble to take the federal building. Kafrican democracy was being attacked, by supporters, supporters of the words of a Kafrican President. Among these, were well armoured and masked men from Svarskia, seeking the Vice President, after neutralising Bown International and securing the road from it to the Capitol they struck, as the Senate hall in the Capitol emptied. Protocol stated that the VP was last to leave, something that doomed him.

As protestors began to stream into the chamber, Moat Boat hid under the desk, hoping that nobody would find him. Unfortunately for him and his safety, the masked Svarskians, carrying handcuffs, viciously and violently put him under arrest, screaming as he was lifted by the men on the desk, the crowd violently erupted into a cheer, throwing chairs and rocks at him, pelting him till he was bloodied as he was carried out of the room. Whisked away into an awaiting van, adorned with the McDrimp’s logo as the van sped off to the airport. As the chaos began to unfold in Bown, the Federal buildings in Southern Faucks were stormed by Strelkans, hoping to murder the staffers of the incoming President, some of whom had already been picked as cabinet ministers for the Barrett Administration. The President, hearing of this on the radio, smiled, yet hoped that no camera would pick it up and report on it. Unfortunately, a reporter for the orion, captured the moment on film, and is yet to release the imagery. As the old Strelkan Government buildings were being stormed, the desk of the speaker of the house being deficiated upon, and the attempted storming of Memorial House in Rinn, causing President Drimp to be whisked away to an undisclosed location in Western Rinn, the sun began to set, a lone black helicotper, unaccoutned for made way for Chikushinal with the Vice President on board. Injured and almost certainly begining to die as Stahl Seig field medicals attended to him to keep him alive for blackmail’s sake. The President began to write, and write. Addressing the nation at 9pm from the President’s black site, he spoke:

“My Fellow Patriots, the evil Stahl Seig has struck upon Kafrican soil capturing the lovely Vice President who was performing his duty in the Capitol at Bown, upholding democracy. In order to protect our democracy and democratic values, I am creating new policy measures to protect every John Doe in this country. My first order of business is i hereby declare martial law. We will do everything it takes to liberate Kafrica from these thugs’ grasp. I therefore have authorised the Department of Offense to carry out strikes upon SS buildings in Chikushinal, we must protect our democracy at all costs. My second order of business is i hereby decree that i shall not be leaving office on the 19th. Kafrica needs a leader who will not immediately surrender the conflict i have just committed this country to. We must stand our ground. Our patriots will win! With my patriots at my side, we will free Kafrica. I am the president that brought us to the world stage, and the left, the radical evil scorn of the Kerbin.

A Virus who believes that we can be whoever we want, that a Kebal, born a male, can become a female. That is just a fantasy play, I dressed up as a princess when I was young, it was funny, it wasnt arousing. That is why me, Your God given President of Kafrica, Blimp Drimp, will stop at nothing to prevent this country from running itself back to the ground!!! God Bless Central Kafrica!”

After the speech was delivered, M1A1 modified AA tanks fired a salvo of 8 missiles towards Chikushinal SS emplacements in Chikushinal, with sirens blaring they hit their marks easily and unopposed, the SS taken completely off guard as their ammo storages exploded with smoke columns visible from the Kafrican borders. The tanks advanced.

Operation Red Rocket

Zokesian Marine Corps Z-40 Harriers attack ground targets in Chikushinal in the opening days of Operation Red Rocket.

January 16th, 2205 - The first Kafrican tanks began lining up on the border with Chikushinal. Led by a dogmatic lunatic, the Kafrican Army was acting on its own, defying the legitimate government's orders to halt. Drimp was going to try to take Chikushinal back from the Zokesians, and all hell was about to break loose.

In the command center of Naval Air Station Fournloke, Vice Admiral John Hershen went over the final touches on the operation. A pre-emptive retaliatory strike to decapitate Kafrican warfighting and prevent invasion of Chikushinal. It was unknown if the Air Force had also defected with Drimp but John "Mad Sahren" Hershen was taking no chances. In 30 minutes, operations would commence. Operation Red Rocket began in the dawn hours, with KZ-20J AWACS and EF-4 Skyshields took up stations over Task Force 91, as Z-41s and Z-81s of VFQ-103 "Jolly Rogers" and VFA-32 "Bombcats" roared into the morning sky. B-52s from NAS Fournloke split into groups of 5 and began tracking east and west, covered by Z-41s of VFQ-6 "Vipers". First blood went to the 20 Z-81 Boggers attacking Diosca International Airport. Encountering no hostile aircraft, the Z-41s flew topcover as the Boggers bored in, unleashing AGM-65 ER standoff precision weapons, eliminating anti-air defenses and damaging the airbase, though not enough to render it inoperative.

In the East of Chikushinal, 10 B-52s lined up on their targets. Below them, vast swaths of Kafrican cities, and directly in front, large factory complexes. These factories would be vital to a continued war effort and the strike today would cripple Drimp's ability to wage continued war should he fail. The B-52s released 50 Mk84 2000lb bombs on the targets, leaving a bombed out ruin nearly half a mile long over the targets. The firestorm consumed everything in its path below.

In the west, Stahlsieg aircraft hit hard the Kafrican units along the western border. Z-80s, ZH-66 DAP attack helos ripped into the tanks. In the east, the Zokesian Marine Corps struck at Kafrican tanks, their Z-40 Harriers performing low altitude precision bombing runs on heavily defended targets, taking horrific losses. The Zokesian Marine Corps lost 10 Harriers and 20 ZAH-1s at the cost of 50-60 enemy tanks. One Z-40 pilot, 1st LT Carmen Nadon, took heavy fire and resulted in the loss of the engine of his Harrier. Instead of ditching, 1st LT Nadon flew her crippled Z-40 into the flak again, dropping the rest of her ordinance and destroying two enemy tanks before bailing out. Recovered by friendly forces but badly burned, 1st LT Carmen Nadon was awarded the Ellanic Cross, the nation's highest award for Valor in combat.

The capture of Diosca International was performed by the 21st Airborne, inserting Special forces onto the island and securing the airbase for Zokesian use. By the end of the Operation, Red Rocket had accounted for nearly 60 enemy ground units, 2 factories, and the capture of Diosca and her vital airport.

Regime Change

Following the events of January Zth, President Drimp departed for the mountains in the north west of Rinn, retreating to a Presidential doomsday bunker, leaving the seat of the executive branch unoccupied, the Vice President kidnapped, meaning that the Presidential Line of Succession went to the secretary of state, who immediately invited Lilly Barrett to take the Presidency early. Accepting this arrangement to form a new government, appointing Senator Jordynn Maldonado as her Vice President, and inviting the retired Honourable Former President Rhonda Reguwu to become secretary of state. In order to ensure the protection of the new administration she decided that it shall be formed in the district of Bown, away from the theatre of battle in Diosca, Rinn and Chikushinal.

During her transit, joined by her Vice President and new Secretary of State, taking a route through Solaria for her protection, taking stock of the Nations situation. The army had been under control of the Former President, Blimp Drimp, the Airforce however, was flying on the border, following her convoy and calling out any potential threats on the road ahead of her. The loyalty of the wingmen had been secured. Including the loyalty of the Pilot assigned to President Drimp’s personal Z-117. Meanwhile down in the south, fighting began between Kafrican Army forces and Chikushinal, Zokesian and SS forces. With them pinned, Lilly found herself in Bown in mid January. Setting up a new government in the houses formerly occupied by the Bown City Mayorship. She would take the oath of office in the underground quarters, streamed live on Kafrican TV.

Setting out her goals for her first term in office, first and foremost, was ending this apparent civil war, during her first address in her capacity of Commander in Chief of Central Kafrica she described a policy that “Any Kafrican forces, surrendering from any branch, to any power, shall be granted a Presidential pardon regardless of how much you have fought your perceived enemies.” Moving on from her domestic responsibilities, she drafted a letter in collaboration with her new Secretary of State, to the Office of the President of Zokesia and the Confederacy of Kolus as a whole. To invite them into combating the aggression of the Former President Blimp Drimp, and securing the safety of Civilians and the Continent as a whole.

From the Office of the Secretary of State of the United States of Central Kafrica, the Honourable Former President Rhonda Reguwu, to the Office of the Confederate triumvirate in Ezekielgrad.

Greetings to the Nations of the Confederacy of Kolus. As you are aware, with your action in Chikushinal, the former President of the United States of Central Kafrica has plunged this region back into the oven of war. Authorised by the new Commander in Chief of Central Kafrica, President Lilly Barrett, we, as a Kafrican nation, are writing in good faith. We are aware through the Kafrican Security Service that you are about to partake in military operation relating to the capture of the airbase in Diosca, I humbly request that you do not bomb the airbase, as we too are planning on using it against the Former President. The Aircraft on the island, the BAC-110 bomber cannot be used in its designed capability due to part supply shortages from the Bown Aircraft Corporation. The Central Kafrican government, now situated in Bown, wishes to reach an understanding on the current situation relating to the actions of Zokesian forces, Chikushi forces and Stahl Seig forces. Unlike the former President, the office of Lilly Barrett understands that the Confederacy does not have control over the Stahl Seig, however we seek an understanding with them on the matter of the Former President’s actions. We request that this message be forwarded to the Stahl Sieg leadership as well. We assume that the Confederacy has lines of communications with the group. We stand united against the forces of the insane. He spoke of no more Kafrican war, yet he created Kafrican war. Kafrica will stand alongside our long time friends in Kolus. Following this first letter of intent to the Former President’s enemies, with the approval of the Executive branch,she directed the redesignation of the Department of Offence to the Chamber of Defense, which controlled the Airforce. Upon her own volition, she began writing a second letter for the world at large.

My Fellow Kerbals, I write now as the Secretary of State of Central Kafrica, with the experience of a former President. The events of January Zth shocked me, my family and my people to their cores. The war to the south, in Chikushinal, is yet another dark chapter in the history of my beautiful continent. The new government in Bown has been sworn in, President Lilly Barrett, using the power vested in her as commander in chief of Central Kafrica, wishes to send good wishes to the world in our trying times. This government is focused on rebuilding the damage done by the past Drimp administration. Our goal is to wage war if necessary to capture the treasonous Former President. The people of Central Kafrica and the Central Kafrican Senate has declared Former President Drimp and his command as an FTO. We will capture President Drimp, we will put him on trial. We have reached out to the Confederacy of Kolus in goodwill and good faith to ensure that the rightful government of Central Kafrica prevails.

Establishment of the Free State

Following the defeat of Former President Drimp’s forces in Chikushinal, he ordered a general retreat. Escaping the mountain himself in a convoy designed to look like the convoy of the President, Lilly Barrett. Successfully making his way down the network of highways, to the coastal town of Sopost, the location of his holiday villa, where he once planned his political strategy in the Faucks Free State.

Since then, Drimp had become the President of Central Kafrica, seen off pressure from the Imperial Union in the crisis of 2203. Won a battle against Zokesia in 2205, yet, his forces retreated back to a line of the old borders. Himself, his party, at war, with the country they once led. During the night of the 30th of January, 2205, Former President Drimp, his aides and former governors of the State of Faucks, hatched a plan to restore the Free State of Faucks, under the name of the Kafrican Patriotic Republic.

Sending communications to his forces, still retreating, demanding that they extract the surrender of the city of Boksburg, just 15km to the north of Drimp’s villa. The losses of January Zth still fresh in his mind, he removed himself for the following week, ensuring his commanders and governors took the politics themselves. Eventually, after a weeks long siege, the city surrendered. Upon this surrender, the Former President Drimp, declared himself, the first Patriot of the Kafrican Patriotic Republic, a new nation, already at war, with the “Illigitimate” Union of states to their north, supported by the evil Confederacy of Kolus, supported by the evils of the planet. As the New Government in the north regained recognition from local powers, each and every one of them, an enemy of the Patriotic Republic. Terrorists Drimp remarked in a speech on one cold February morning. The democratic terrorists.

Carving out a line of control, between the northernmost border of Svarskia, to the town of Bodle, the first Patriot began to seek deals with industry leaders, wanting aircraft, wanting metal that can take the fight to the evils of the Imperial Union, the evils of the illegitimate traitors to the north, the absurd Tekkians who seemed not to care either way, which, in Drimp’s speeches, made them an enemy of the Patriots.

May the die be cast, Patriots will reign supreme.

Faucks Campaign

With the disgraced president retreating south, Zokesian war efforts shifted to counterterrorist operations, the first of which was insetion of special forces teams accross the country, to establish local presence and begin culture normalization with the populace. Second was stopping the Drimp War Machine.

Entering and exiting from the coast, the airspace above Svarskia roared with Zokesian aircraft as prior authority was given to fly through by IU high command. A two-ship of B-52s struck eastern factory complexes with Tomahawk and LRASM missiles, while a low-level penetration flight through the Kafraic mountains by a three-ship of Z-40s from LHD-5 Fish Island flew at treetop level to strike deeper into the heart of Kafrica. Final strike results were heavy damage to two factories, and the third in Nura being destroyed completely.

War on Drimp

The air campaign by Zokesia against the Illigitimate government of Blimp Drimp in south Kafrica crippled his ability to wage war on the ground. Through Naval air power, supported by Air Force SEAD assets, the Zokesian bombing campaign made steady progress in destroying tanks, antiair sites, and Short Range Air defense.

An EC-24J South Star Electronic Warfare Aircraft was shot down over Svarskia during an attack on Drimp positions in the mountains. It is unclear if IU forces or Rebel antiair shot the aircraft down, as it was legally flying in Svarskian airspace at the time of shootdown. All 12 crew onboard were confirmed killed. The names of the crew are being withheld by the Zokesian Government untill 24 hours after notification of the families of the aviators lost.

Solarian Support for Faucks

In 2206, a shocking turn of events, Solarian Paramount Leader Ortusius Kerman has publicly announced Solaria's support for drimp at a press conference earlier today. "The Solarian people have been deeply moved by President Drimp's strong patriotism and nationalistic spirit. We are extremely saddened to see the aggression of Zokesia against such a righteous man. Our hearts are with Drimp in this conflict and we will offer unconditional support for our dear friend." On a completely unrelated note, pallets of gold ingots have been observed being unloaded from military transport aircraft at Faira Airbase. Various Solarian officials have voiced disapproval and disappointment in Ortusius's decision to side with Drimp, with Faira's mayor having been quoted as saying, "I don't know why he's thrown our nation behind that raging lunatic, this is suicide!" He has not been seen publicly since. At the same time, 110 Hearthian aircraft previously in storage were been hijacked and reported to be flying towards Kafrica.

Drive on Sopost

Throughout the early months of 2207 saw the combined forces of Kafrica and the Stahlsieg slowly ground twoard the rebel capital of Sopost. Though weather was rough for most of the winter, by April the skies had cleared and it was becoming increasingly clear Drimp's forces were massing for one final battle in the south.

Zokesian High Command planned to initiate Operation Red Rocket II on May 22nd, with a massive airstrike in the south. Unknown to them, hundreds of Hearthian, Solarian and Frigonian Air Force pilots had defected and were heading south to strike a blow to Drimp's Enemies.

As the fighters streamed south, Stahlsieg AL-27s and Thronglers, Kafrican Z-40s, and Zokesian Z-41s flew up to intercept, and a massive air battle ensued. The first kills of the Zokesian Navy's Z-41 Bearcats were acheived, and the survivors of the attack limped back to Kolus lines telling stories of the "White Lion," a Z-41 of the Zokesian VFQ-6 piloted by an ace pilot that foiled many of their attacks. 145 Defectors were shot down to the loss of 110 Coalition aircraft as the strike package pushed on to attack the 6th SS air defenses set up around Sopost. Their strikes crippled air defense, but were unable to critically punch a hole in the lines of tanks to allow Drimp's forces to escape.

The Zokesian attack on Drimp's air defenses was in the face of the heaviest anti-air in Mlorba. Hundreds of erectors, radar sites and short range air defences opened up on the attacking strike package, which consisted of Z-81s, Z-117s, and Z5s. Losses were heavy, but the air defenses were silenced by the brave Zokesian Air Force and Navy pilots as they watched comrades fall around them. Nearly two dozen Z5s and an EC-24J were shot down, with another severely damaged. The damaged EC-24J South Star lost all four engines and had to make an emergency dead-stick landing in Aontas, to the west, where the crew surrendered to Aontan authorities. The first Stealth aircraft losses in Zokeisan Royal Air Force history also occured, when a Z-117 piloted by Captain Andrew G. Mackgill was hit by an infared anti-air missiles on an attack run. The pilot was able to eject safely, and Zokesian ZH-66s recovered most of the downed aviators who bailed out over the Bay of Sopost. They had done their job, however, and after a week of operations the airspace was clear enough to send in the elite 21st Airborne in.

Flying around Svarskia and refueling via KZ-15 tankers, the 150 helos flew in low over the bay of Sopost and inserted into the city. As the Stahlsieg pushed into Sopost from the north, fighting ensued and the assault was bogged down quickly in the outskirts of the city. However, the attack relieved the Airborne assault of enemy combatants, as the remaining Drimp forces were committed to defending from the Stahlsieg attack, leaving the city open to the south. Nearly 500 Special Forces troops inserted into the city and began converging on the Governor's house and City hall, expecting to find Blimp Drimp in one of the nearly two dozen high-probability locations they suspected he would be at.

The final cost of the war was great. Over 150 aircraft from the Zokesian Air Force, Zokesian Royal Navy, Stahlsieg Luftverteidigung, and Kafrican Self Defense Air Force were lost. Nearly 10,000 civilians and 360 service members had lost their lives, but by June 3rd, the war was finally over.
