The Arcovdonian Railways (reporting marks AR, CS, CSR) is a Class I freight/Passenger hauling railroad that operates 60 locomotives. Arcovdonian Railways is amongst the largest railroads in the Confederacy.
In 2022, following the rise of the Carsodonian Minority Rule Government, the new leadership prioritized economic sovereignty, particularly over key industrial and transportation sectors. The government moved swiftly to buy out the Southern Arcovii-Zokesian Railway, consolidating it into a fully state-owned entity under the new banner of Arcovdonian Railways. The nationalization process was swift and aggressive, with the Arcovdonian government leveraging state funds and legal maneuvers to seize majority control. While Arcovii and Zokesian stakeholders initially resisted, the new government’s firm stance, coupled with economic incentives ensured a relatively smooth transition. By the mid 22nd century, Arcovdonian Railways had become one of the largest and most comprehensive railway systems in the Confederacy of Kolus.
