Service History
In 2204, the first De Ward laid down, DDG-4000 Caspian de Ward was launched, and production quickly ramped up to two ships per year following assistance from PLAID engineers assisting with technical issues.
In 2208, two De Ward destroyers were converted as part of the Advanced Weapons Upgrade program to further amplify the ship's effectiveness. The Advanced Weapons Upgrade removes the 155mm PGS gun systems for hypersonic launch tubes.
