The Maschinenpistolæt-Type-11 or MP.æ-Type-11 is an automatic pistol produced and operated by Sahrland. It has served since 2111 through various upgrades to bring them up to date with other weaponry.

Operation

The pistol uses a simple straight blowback system to chamber the next round. This system was used as Sahrland was only recently transitioning from the Chevspendi to a settled civilization and complex parts and manufacturing were impossible. The design is centred entirely around usage as a weapon should dragoons be forced to fight while on their Capals.

The pistol is fed through a 24 round aluminium box magazine, however these are also designed to take clips from the top as magazines were non disposable to the agrarian economy of early Sahrland. This magazine is inserted directly in front of the trigger mechanism. To eject the magazne a lever located just in front of it must be pulled, positioned in such a way that it can be pulled while gripping the magazine and removed in one fluid motion. Since the MP.æ-Type-11 is a cavalry pistol the grip is too short for two handed action, thus if it is utilized as a two handed weapon the lower portion of the magazine is to be used as a foregrip despite the length difference being less than an inch.

Early models of the pistol had simple non adjustable sights and lacked a muzzle break. With later models these flaws were addressed.

Rounds enter the pistol from the bottom and the used casings ejected immediatly upwards, which was not considered an issue as the weapon was only meant to be used while mounted.

Performance

The Type-11 has a large fire potential for its size but cannot be expected to perform well over long distances or controlled in long fire bursts.
