Controversies
Mazdok has been the subject of several political controversies, including accusations of theft, manslaughter, fraud, and espionage, as well as numerous allegations of financial misconduct.
In 2197, whilst serving as the Bearer of Arcaros, Mazdok was seen exiting the Polecth City Bank with seven duffle bags of bank notes. When accosted by security personnel he immediately dropped the bags and proceeded to pontificate extemporaneously for 3 hours, delivering a meandering speech about the necessity for tighter financial security.
In August, 2198, he was accused of embezzling state funds after the Lower Council of Arcaros' Department of External Finances received an invoice for 400,000 from a pastry shop in Polecth, whilst a similar sum of money went unaccounted for during a charity event for which Mazdok was responsible. In July, 2199, he used his newly acquired legal powers as Apex to investigate these allegations and found himself innocent, acquitting himself of all charges.
