The Armed Forces of Avarua-Polengairdt, or Fórsaí Armtha na Avarua-Polengairdt is the defence organization of Avarua-Polengairdt.
History
The Avarua-Polengairdten armed forces directly succeed the Phoenian Astrofleet's Joolian squadron. When Phoenia dissolved in 2184 the Joolian squadron was reformed to provide security for the colonies as their status would be in limbo until integration with Sahrland in 2207. Logistical difficulties resulted in Avarua-Polengairdt being allowed to keep its own armed forces.
Organization
AFAP borrows its structuring from the Phoenian Astrofleet but on a much smaller level. The surface forces it operates are considered space marines but have not trained as assault forces in decades.
