History
AFA was formed in 2147 by inventor and entrepreneur Slovodan Kengkiv.
Kengkiv, then 50, was a staunch adherent to his ideal and motto that "Even in older age, dreams are always possible. Therefore, I seek the sky!".
Kengkiv sought to produce his very own aircraft that he could market regionally, perhaps even globally.
His home-built Light Sport Aircraft, the Kengkiv KLSA-Kercoupe, was moderately successful, selling an order 34 units every week, eventually up to 5,000 within the first three years of the company's existance, helping Kengkiv launch AFA as a company. With the rapid income and the inability to make enough kit-versions of the Kercoupe, Kengkiv used nearly all of his profit to open his original 2149 factory in Ulkam, having had to outsource production to Fortis Heavy Industries, using the State run conglomerate's entrepreneurial subsidy program.
The AFA Logo as of 2199 features the silhouette of the AFA BW-1.100 "Spruce" wide body, semi-blended wing jet liner.
