Ataqi-Ouli (also spelled Atakti-ouli or Ataki Ouli) was a proto-chevspendic Cheifton who according to popular mythology united the tribes into the Chevspendic Horde.
Life
What we know about Ataqi-Ouli primarily comes from written versions of oral history made by Sahren scholars. Thus the earliest record about him is the Otbasi Chronicle written in 2109, however this source was primarily concerned with the individual families and only made a passing mention of Ataqi-Ouli for background context. According to this source he was a warrior of great prowess who rose to power of Otbasi Siyah-Kon (Black horse) tribe, and went on to reform the Chevspendi into a tribal oligarchy.
The Chevspendic Primary Oral Chronicle goes into more detail about him, and instead describes him as an individual of immense wit and strategy. It states in 1809 he became cheiftan of the Siyah-Kon, and then spent the rest of his rule began negotiating agreements of mutual benefit with the other tribes while launching increasingly bold raids settled civilizations.
