History
Founding by Occultist-Patristic CEO Illich Lasmivich
Ferbian Ground Systems was founded in 2163 by Illich Lasmivich, who has remained the CEO through 2199. Lasmivich founded the company with the name "Ferbian", claiming the name came to him in a dream, and further went on to claim that "The company was destined by god. If I did not found it, all of Kerbin would destroyed by overlord-created superworms". Lasmivihch, now 67 as of 2199, continues to maintain this claim.
Unveiling of the OSHIN I MRAP Design
Ferbian's first success came with the development of the Fortisian OSHIN (Observation, Security, High Intensity, Series N) I series of MRAPs (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle), which found use with the then Fortis Ground Patrol Force, which readers may recognize as the now Fortisian Army complement. Fortis, which then focused on civil defense, had a dire need for mine and flame resistant vehicles at the time, and selected Ferbian's OSHIN. The company rapidly grew as its small factory in Laythi expanded exponentially, eventually opening a second factory in Zerban.
