The F-31 "Beowulf" Next-Generation Stealth Fighter is a Mechani Union-built tailless stealth fighter designed to achieve a lethal balance between agility, speed, and stealth, whilst not breaking the bank.

Development

The F-31 was developed following the development of increasingly stealth-focused aircraft in the now-defunct PAKT military alliance of communist states. The Mechani Air Force desired a truly next-generation, fast, and stealthy fighter platform that was cost-efficient, agile, and compact, while retaining room for a reasonable weapons payload.

The engineers at Mechani Aerospace Systems went through several revisions, but eventually came up with Project Beowulf, a twin-engine, single-seat fighter built around a tailless blended-wing-body arrowhead design emphasizing a mix of stealth and agility.

While the Beowulf is not as stealthy as some fighters and drones out there, it maintains enough of an advantage in reduced RCS for its size to give some radar-guided munitions the slip, and its relatively high TWR and high level of agility enable skilled pilots to outmaneuver their opponents on a dime.

Variants

So far there is the base F-31 model fighter, in addition to the 2080s-era F-31C model, which features several upgrades to the airframe, avionics, weapons, and other features of the aircraft, including a canopy-less advanced cockpit system.
