Red Battallion

Description

The Red Battalion is Chancellor Rekki's personal guard and Halgonian military battalion formation. The Battalion is consisted of 800 individual soldiers, dozens of vehicles, and several aircraft. These vehicles are reserved specifically for the Red Battalion. The entire formation is consisted of Ascended Halgonians.

History

The Red Battalion began as a simple infantry formation, Eastern Battalion 453. during the Halgonian Uplifting. at least 4 months before the Halgonian War Battalion 453 had been selected for improvements, namely Ascension Surgery, and a new regiment of experimental Virtual and Augmented Reality training. The training was experimental due to the programmed reality being able to give its users the sensation of pain. Slowly the difficulty and pain sensitivity of the program rose as the soldiers continued training. The training and command of the Battalion was handed to Lt. Orathan Rekki. As war broke out between Halgonia and the Coalition, the so called 'Shadow Battalion' had completed training with only 9 members being dismissed. Then the remaining members underwent the Ascension Surgery and various other operations to install advanced surge protected cybernetics. By the time the negotiations had begun 2 of the first 20 soldiers acted as an escort to the Halgonian Delegate and by the time of the formation of the Republic, all 800 had been successfully converted into the newly dubbed Red Battalion.
