Ratoskal is a Novenadian technology and defense company headquartered in Nrida and serving interests both domestic and within the Veiidic Commonwealth. Ratoskal produces a variety of defense products, including radars, air defense systems, aircraft, naval ships, and Veiidos. As the only defense company in Novenad, Ratoskal has produced all Novenadian equipment that hasn't been imported, and has a contract to license build the imported HAV-24 main battle tank.
History
Ratoskal was founded by Hel Ratoskal in 2152 as a refrigeration company, before pivoting to defense in 2162 after recieving a contract from a desperate Novenadian government to license-build the Z-55B Carabinieri II and replace the aging L-23E. The transition was a success, and Ratoskal began accepting contracts for an ever expanding variety of military systems.
In 2172, Ratoskal submitted the "Skimer" proposal to the Novenad Defensive Navy as a cheaper, more multirole alternative to the current flotilla, more suited to the modern demands which were limited to area denial and anti-piracy action. The proposal was a successful foray into the naval industry, and opened the door for future expansion.
