Arrataxt, also known as Arrataxt Island, and located on the island of the same name, is a city and the former capital of Sarconia. Arrataxt holds a prominent position in Sarconian Shamanism, in which it is considered the place on Kerbin closest to the spirit world. In 1305, the palace-monasteries and non-permanent dwellings of the island were razed to the ground by the Zeoulian army and warfleet of King Aiken II, in the final days of Aiken's Conquest. For both this reason and its religious significance, Arrataxt is sometimes referred to as the Island of Ghosts or the City of Ghosts.
