Due to her geographical location, Zalkent has been a melting pot between the cultures of other nations that she borders. This is reflected in the language, which uses a similar alphabet and pronunciation to that of Crytilian. Likewise, cultural aspects of both Crytil and Kathern can be found in this area, although quite a fair bit of this Zalkentian culture was lost during the Civil War. This in turn lead to a rebuilding of the national identity within her borders, being more akin to the Crytilian culture than the Crytilian-Kathernian melting pot that the nation was beforehand.
