Template:Battle (fixed)The Arkadii-Sovie war is a now finished conflict between the forces of the UASR and the Sanctum Sovereignty.
Prologue to War
After the conflict with both the NMC and KSKM ,the Sanctum Sovereignty was demanded to dismantle all NS-5s by an international treaty that also prohibited Sub-WMDs to the nation of Behin. As international talks began to break down with Sanctum they began to import NS-5s again, as well as attempting to set up missile sites in Soltem.
With the threat of a Re-armed Behin, Arcadia responded to the breaking of the treaty by originally blockading Soltem. After a pirated Archer Class cargo ship was caught by the AMF Ilyanok and AMF Gorodsky it was revealed, even after the international agreement to create a Soltem DMZ, that Sanctum was still trying to smuggle weapons into Soltem.
In response, Georgy Stihlovich wrote a declaration of war and presented it to the Arcadian people in Arcovy. With the immediate deployment of the First, Second, and Third Baskay Detachments, as well as the Baskay Wolfpack, and the 1st Red Wing to Sanctum Sovereignty.
Battle of Crater Peninsula
The first engagements happened around 12:30 local time when the First Detachment located two Chimera class Aviation Cruisers and pinged three NX-5 Submarines. Immediately all ships were called to battle stations and engaged the fleet.
The AMF Leningrad spearheaded the charge while the Petrov Corvettes and Oleg Destroyers supported with covering fire. The first hits happened at 12:47 local time when the Petrovs and Leningrad let off their salvos of Cruise Missiles, Three missiles simultaneously hit Chimera A, sending it to the bottom of the sea relatively quickly. Immediately after one of the Petrovs was hit with two torpedoes and sunk almost immediately with only 3 of the 20 crew escaping in time.
The Leningrad and two remaining Petrovs began laying fire down on Chimera B, meanwhile the two Glastnost Class frigates began going on the hunt for the NX-5s. Chimera B, after being hit by 3 Cruise Missiles capsized, however on its roll it crossed the T on the ANF Leningrad and sunk it with one broadside. The AMF Leningrad, while vertical, launched the killshot on Chimera B sending it to the oceans floor. With the flagship of the First Detachment and Captain Vorshyk dead the remaining ships unloaded on the Sanctum submarines completely obliterating them, at the cost of two crippled Corvetted.
