Background
Being among the first of the commands established by the Atreus Aerospace Command (AASC) after its establishment in 2190, NAVSPECWAR was established at New Corvus NAS in New Corvus before later moving its command to an undisclosed location in New Rison. It's mission is to provide command, operational training, doctrinal development, and resource allocation to forces operating in areas of unconventional warfare, long-duration special reconnaissance, and general special operations and missions.
NAVSPECWAR is organized majorly based around 4 sections, an operational support company, and various supporting elements, employing over 2000 personnel as of 2205. Each section and subordinate unit operates independently of each other, with very little communication between them under the doctrine of "compartmentalization" to prevent infiltration. This is only modified if required by operations, or to improve efficency.
NAVSPECWAR forces most often operate as part of a larger force or is responsible for training/leading a larger regular force. This includes AASC Assault Carriers, Colonial Defense Regiments, or other units.
Organization
Special Warfare Section One
Special Warfare Section One (SPECWARSEC-1) is the largest of NAVSPECWAR's sections employing near to half of the command's manpower alongside civilian contractors. It is responsible for planning and executing special operations as determined by NAVSPECWARCOM or the Atreus Aerospace Command. As such, it contains the entirety of the Orbital Drop Air Assault Corps of the Atreian House Cavalry.
Special Operations Capable Forces
299th Orbital Drop Air Assault Regiments
The 299th Orbital Drop Air Assault Regiment is the primary special operations capable force of Section One, acting as the "sword" of NAVSPECWAR. The regiment directly carries out the various missions required of NAVSPECWAR overall and Section 2 alike, deploying from assault carriers such as the Bakan-Class Assault Carriers, as well as acting as a garrison on Atreian and Veiidic colonies such as New Corvus and New Rison to preform delaying actions, force reconnaissance, and stay-behind operations in case of an invasion of the colonies.
The regiment is organized into three mainline battalions, numbered as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Battalions, with a 4th Support Battalion. Each combat battalion is identical to each other under the regiment's organization, being composed of two Light Dragoon companies mounted either on foot, or in light vehicles to practice mobile warfare and practice reconnaissance-by-fire on larger hostile formations. The third company in each battalion is a Heavy Cuirassier company, they are made up of both heavy exoskeletons including the M6 Revenant Heavy Combat Exosuit and M66 Aegis Main Battle Tank, with their heavier, mechanized organization giving honor to their Kerbin-bound ancestors in Cuirassiers.

240th Separate Special Training Battalion
The 240th Separate Special Training Battalion (also known as the 240th Separate Orbital Drop Air Assault Battalion (Reserve)) is a partially active combat unit responsible for the basic training of newly recruited House Cavalrymen at New Corvus NAS as well as the fleet force training of Midshipmen from Miranda Naval Academy, also in New Corvus. It also acts as a reserve ODAA Battalion, maintaining their status as special operating forces by launching regular "attacks" on garrisoned ODAA, Colonial Defense, and House Cavalry forces both in New Corvus, and in New Rison as a part of a opposing force, or OPFOR operations.
Its duties in assaulting its fellow ODAA battalions and House Garrison forces has led to a development of a fierce, but friendly rivalry with the battalions of 299th and others. Often, the four battalions of 299th ODAAR with have competitions, and challenge the Cavalrymen of 240th SSTB in various friendly sporting events whenever able. Due to the average cavalryman of the 240th being more experienced and senior to those of the four primary battalions, the 240th is currently has eight victories, and five defeats in 2205 after the 13th annual intraservice competition between 299th and 240th in 2205.

The use of heavier armor is to mimic the heavier armor of Imperial Union, or United Imperial Federation armor, while training armored recruits in Advanced Individual Training exercises. |
253rd Separate Hussars Battalion
Being the last of the Special Operations capable forces of Section One, 253rd SHB is the main shipborne garrison force of the AASC. As the ships of the AASC have very small crew sizes, the 253rd is required to be special operations capable due to much smaller unit sizes as well as missions having to be undertaken in remote locations with very little logistical support and all command decisions having to be made by team or detachment leaders.
The mission requirements of the 253rd SHB have led to a unit culture based around small unit leadership and initiative, as Hussar detachments and teams have massive pressured placed on them due to operational objectives, such as counter-boarding/boarding, station seizures, station defense, and close quarters battle (CQB) operations.

Special Warfare Section Two
Special Warfare Section Two (SPECWARSEC-2) is the section of NAVSPECWAR responsible for military, kerbal, signals, open-source, and all other types of intelligence and reconnaissance for use of the AASC, NAVSPECWAR, and its allies. SPECWARSEC-2 is among the smaller of the sections of Naval Special Warfare Command, but is considered one of the most important of the sections due to the ability of its services to have such a massive effect on actions undertaken by the AASC.
Section Two contains intelligence, missions support, analysis, and operations departments focusing on subsections of Section Two's mission of equipping the AASC and NAVSPECWAR with accurate and actionable intelligence. There are also rumors of Section Two's own special operating force, known as Special Missions Teams known to recruit from both mercenaries, contractors, or house cavalrymen and women.
Sub-Section 2-1: Intelligence
Sub-Section 2-1 is responsible for gathering and validating all forms of intelligence as it pertains to the needs of the Atreus Aerospace Command, and Naval Special Warfare Command. This includes passive intelligence and active intelligence gathering in high-interest areas throughout the Kerbol system. Sub-Section 2-1 was created as the intelligence agencies of the Pan-Veiidic Commonwealth and the Confederacy of Atreus competed with each other to build intelligence networks in space shortly after the establishment of the AASC, to prevent a further waste of resources, the Pan-Veiidic Commonwealth conceded control of space-based intelligence to NAVSPECWAR, and Sub-Section 2-1.
Much of the organization and equipment of Sub-Section 2-1 is still classified.
Sub-Section 2-2: Missions Support
Sub-Section 2-2 is responsible for procuring both the budget, analyzed intelligence, equipment, and personnel to assist in the objectives of Section Two, and NAVSPECWAR as a whole. It is the smallest of the subsections, mostly focused on handling paperwork and data for the use of other Sub-Sections, as well as other sections through NAVSPECWAR GHQ.
