Davedhrienism and the 'Great Vision'
“ | Once the wider is state is reclaimed: we must cultivate a totality of focus, politically, industrially and culturally. Sarconia will become a singular engine of the Great Vision. | ” |
—Writings of Davedhrein Kerman, 2112 |
After his death, Davedhrien’s political ideas continued to be followed by Sarconia’s fledgling ruling party. His all-encompassing system of rigid economic statism combined with ideas of Dorvic unity has posthumously been termed 'Davedhrienism'. Thought to be modelled in part after Sarconia’s pre-Great Decline structure as a satellite state; some political theorists consider it an extremely far removed descendant of Arkadii Socialism.
Much of Davedhrien's efforts in life were directed towards achieving his 'Great Vision' - the unification of Central and South Doren into one nation, under Sarconian terms. This idea became a central tenet of his paramilitary faction and the state it would go on to establish - after his death, it completely defined Sarconian foreign policy for almost two decades prior to being realised with the formation of the United Doren Front.
Worship
Beginning in the 2140s, Davedhrien became a minor figure or worship within Sarconian Shamanism. Many have since interpreted him as an embodiment of the spirit of the nation.
This has been promoted primarily by the state, which has funded several statues and places of worship in his honour. Outside of the cities his religious status is much less prominent.
