The LF-22 (Light Fighter) Falcon Air Superiority Fighter is a new light fighter concept designed specifically for overseas air protection for the Owlian Union. It's been billed as a replacement to the aging Kalban SL-18 "Novi Avion," and will go into service starting 2071. Its shortened wing design lets the plane achieve supersonic speeds at cruising throttle, while canards allow for incredible maneuverability at low speed.

Built mainly for the states of Delras and the South Bulge, the AFOU (Armed Forces of the Owlian Union) has announced that the fighter will be used mostly to replace the roles of the SL-18. Possible other variants have been hinted, including a ground attack version and an export version.

Development

Built with the need for a light fighter in the states of Delras, the F-10 was initially proposed to provide the role. However, after looking at records and a combat test, RADF officials noticed the inefficiency of the often-overlooked SL-18. Following this, the force decided to contact Union Industries to create a new fighter capable of replacing the Avion.
