Coming into service into in a market filled with F-77 Shrikes, the Hawk carved out a niche for itself by providing flexibility and cost efficiency not found in the F-77. The program has produced two variants of the aircraft, an “A” version being a conventional aircraft focusing on speed and fuel economy, and a ”B” variant which sacrifices some fuel and performance in exchange for a VTOL system. The nation of Venmous has expressed interest in the plane and a deal is in the works for a preliminary purchase of some planes.
