What we know about Ataqi-Ouli primarily comes from written versions of oral history made by [[Sahr|Sahren]] scholars. Thus the earliest record about him is the ''Otbasi Chronicle'' written in 2109, however this source was primarily concerned with the individual families and only made a passing mention of Ataqi-Ouli for background context.
