Chosaint (Parast: Çosand [ʧoˈsɑnd] | Aontan: Cosaint [ˈkɔsˠən̠ʲtʲ])
Etymology
The name Chosaint is derived from the Aontan word for Defencible, this name originated during the early years of the great decline as the collapsing Tekkian Federation attempted to maintain territory running though the nation.
Geography
The Chosaint Republic is a small nation located in south-east Kolus, with Consolidated Tekkia bordering to its south, Kyzantine territories to the south-west, and unorganized kolus to the north.
It lies mostly between latitudes 10° and 20°N Chosaint is also bordered by the Kolusian sea to its east. Tekkian territory covers 40,536km^2 It is the largest country by area in Kafrica and the 9th largest in the world behind Phosphor.
Elevation ranges from mounts at the Thuaidh-Sabri border to shores of the Kolusian Sea.
Climate
The south and east of Chosaint suffers from a dry climate, similar to that in western tekkia. The Ria basin is much cooler and more temperate with lower temperatures and more precipitation. This is largely due to prevailing winds from the wet areas of central Kolus.
