Development

Using lessons learned during the development of the F/A-64. The F/A-95 was designed to be a forward-swept wing Air superiority fighter for the AAF. The Mk1 prototype saw the first successful forward-swept wing design ever made by OmniDynamics Defense. Initial variants were small and compact in an attempt to save money. Later variants featured the easily recognizable "carapace" over the top and bottom of the craft. The F/A-95 began to slowly replace stopgap F/A-64Ms pushed into service and became the premiere Jetfighter of the Alterixian Air Force, being put into official service in 2099 and in full force during 2100. With it being purchased by Nuvalka to bolster their purchase of F/A-64s. The F/A-95 has 26 kills to its name under the minor and mostly unknown Craniza Uprising. Known to Alterixian pilots as the Dagger. It serves the Alterixian Air Force to this day.

Design

The F/A-95 makes heavy use of forward-swept wings to give it amazing maneuverability. It is used in conjunction with angled Verticle stabs and forward canards to improve stability during maneuvers. It also uses 2 SE-101 series Panthers nicknamed "Bulkan" (or Volcano in Alterixian) by its pilots. These 3d thrust-vectoring engines allow the Jet to perform high AoA maneuvers and perform tight turns. It uses 4 pylons due to the fact its a pure air superiority fighter. Mounting 3 AIM-120As on the 2 inner pylons allowing for 6 AIM-120As to be carried. And on the outer wing, it mounts 2 AIM-9Ms allowing for a total of 4 AIM-9Ms to be carried. Although newer upgrades for the F/A-95 allow for it to carry Air to Ground munitions in add on pylons on the wings and fuselage and the addition of either an integrated or pylon mounted FLIR.

Service

The F/A-95 was only used during the little known Craniza Uprising were AWOL units of a recently disbanded F/A-64 squadron. The Unit managed to get hold of a local communist group operating within a local City called Kilocos. With the intention to bomb the capital they set out in F/A-64s and a handfull of smuggled A-11s. 10 F/A-95Es were scrambled from a nearby Ai base and quickly intercepted the air group. With one Kerbal Raymin Kerman achieving 5 kills, becoming the first race in the AAF. (Page not yet finished)
