The Theodiah Class of guided-missile cruisers is a class of Ikonic warship in service with the Armada Ikonicus. The first ship of the class, IKN Theodiah White (ICG-04) is named after Theodiah White, the 17th apex of the Ikonic Federation. The class is oversized for its mission designation, as they are intended to operate independently and for extended periods. Their very large number of VLS tubes enables them to both strike surface targets and to defend against aircraft. The class features two mission bays for rapid deployment of small boat operations, and sufficient aviation facilities for multiple rotary-wing and tiltrotor aircraft. A tertiary mission bay is located behind the main bridge, but due to budgetary constraints its design was never finalised.

Design

The ship is distinguished by its angular construction, a signature of the radar cross section reducing technologies incorporated into the carrier’s design.

The Theodiah-Class is designed to operate alongside a number of other air and sea assets.

Development

After the ‘strategic defence review ‘scheme of Apex Stone, which led to the devlopment of the Ikon-Class carrier, the Armada Ikonicus was in need of a modern warship that could support the carrier and operate independently.

Stratos I

The Stratos I design features 96 VLS tubes, with the fore superstructure unused save for the 57mm main gun.

Stratos II

The Stratos II design increased the number of VLS tubes to 176 with the 80 additional VLS tubes in the fore section, and improved mission bay equipment.

Service History

The vessel was launched on April 10th 2186 and officially commissioned into the Armada Ikonicus just two weeks later.

The Theodiah-Class possesses a large number of VLS tubes for launching a variety of ordnance.
