Chief among these was the size of the Sahren army and their experience. By the end of the war Sahrland possessed 190 tanks, and the outdated ones among these were quickly being modernized. Phoenian armoured forces were lesser in number, though they possessed an advantage in ships and aircraft. Along with this most of the Royal Armed Forces were either trained in or had experience in partisan warfare. High command concluded war with Sahrland would drag out far too long, and push the already war exhausted and partially demobilising Phoenia into financial ruin.
