Operation Heteroatom caused the Labour party and NSP to declare a temporary truce and form the united-front, but the damage to either side was already so much that the Republicans had superiority in artillery, manpower, coordination, intel, and air support. The united front was quickly beaten back and the NSP ordered a retreat into the Vagani region.
