With the western border at a large river and the eastern border in the north of the Kolus sea, the nation was somewhat isolated, but retained the ability to communicate with the outside world. The Fidelsian people believed in the power of the moon and the stars, which were assumed to be representations of their deities.

However, the deep ideological differences remained and grew even further apart.

Fidelis had always been rather isolationist and far from any strategic geographic locations so it was not deemed worthy to intervene.

I don’t doubt all of your abilities to fight and die for this cause and this country, but then there will be nothing left for the future generations, only to be either left for slaughter or enslavement from the tyrannical Fidelsians. We knew this was a strong possibility since the beginning, especially with Fidelsian spies finding out our technology and ways to counter it. Instead, I have made the executive decision to attempt to escape. All over your cities, you will see rockets prepared for liftoff that will take us to Minmus, impossible to reach for Fidelis. This is our only shot, only chance at survival. I, along with other brave Orion soldiers and pilots will be holding the line against the Fidelsian army in order to allow all of you a chance at a better life. Godspeed to you all, it has been an honour to serve you.”.
