The securtiy arrangment entailed a mutual-defence pact between the participant nations, and a greater degree of defence and economic cooperation to offset the defence spending that were increased at an alarming rate. While the initial 30 year arrangement was set to expire on the eve of 2134, the unexpected threat posed by the newly formed Krosterreich prompted the 3 nations to instead renew their security arrangements by another 15 years, with the inclusion of the Firesvar nation [[Celeste\|Celeste.]] The inclusion of Celeste was controversial amongst the Kafrican nations and foreign observers, who mostly viewed the inclusion as the Orion Empire's discrete attempt at expanding its influence into the already unstable region of Firesvar.
