Alnov was created by a group of investors on April 12th, 2162. The group purchased a significant fraction of the resource rights to Mt. Vema from the Novenadian government, which was at the time investing heavily in restarting the mining industry. As they were not eligible for subsidy by NSEF as a foreign-owned company, Alnov competed with other mining companies and won a large contract for the excavation of the Kivina Mountain Complex, funded by the Novenadian Armed Forces.<br />
