The Korych is a military organization belonging to Sahr but separate from the Sahren Republican Guard. They are a smaller and more professional force created specifically for international deployment without officially enacting wartime measures.

origins (2146)
Despite Svobodism's isolationist foreign policy influence by Nemqurpolitik, the Sahren nation was unable to completely return to pre civil war isolation as the conditions that allowed for Nemqurpolitik were slowly fading away. The Reformation of Greater Aontas was considered to be an innevitable developement by most figures in the country, and along with this the protection of Chadastok and the farther away Bastian territories presented an issue of rearmament. The formation of the Korych itself was proven to be a neccesity with the Sahren Republican Guard specified for home front matters and the republican militia disbanded and rendered illegal to reform unless total mobilization was ordered.

Parliament passed approval to allow penal conscription of prisoners of war in late 2146, and all former Strecha members in republican custody were quickly conscripted into the Korych.

Imperial reclaimation (2148-2150)
Both Phoenian special forces and the Korych were put under a joint aontan brigade during the Imperial Reclaimation under the idea that increased tactical cooperation could be acquired if they were both in one massed force.

Operation Benzene (2197)
By the end of the Aughtafael Coup there was serious concern over the status of the military industrial complex and important equipment being lost should Bastia withdraw. The Korych had previously played a significant role in suppression of the coup and thus were chosen to cooperate with the Sahren Navy to seize any components that would help to fortify Aontas as a whole against rising tensions in Mlorba and Kolus. Cooperation between the Navy and Korych was chosen as the SRGIA, Sahren Republican Guard, and Bastian national army were shown to lack loyalty and morale during the previous coup.
