Born to a poor family, Calbrett spent his childhood within the confines of a small nomadic tribe in the Avem mountains, and was tasked with herding livestock since a young age. At the age of 7, both his mother and father were killed in an avalanche, along with many other members of the tribe, leaving him in the care of the tribe's shepherd, Dolrus, who served as his mentor and from whom he learned a great deal about herding livestock, navigation, leadership and inner strength. By the age of 12, Calbrett had succeeded Dolrus as the tribe's shepherd following his death, and was renowned as a precocious prodigy by all who met him. Hardened by his tragic childhood and the time spent with his mentor, Cabrett became an integral cornerstone of the tribe, being sought after for advice and guidance.

During a migration south to escape the encroaching winter weather, a snowstorm swept through the Avem mountains and trapped the tribe atop a glacier, blowing the tribe's leader off the edge of a precipice. Calbrett took command of the situation and succeeded in shepherding his people to the safety of the Atksak Caldera, shielding them from the harsh winds. Following this act of heroism and in search of a new leader, Calbrett was voted by the tribe as their new Chieftain. However, another contender was enraged by this decision and challenged him to a duel, demanding that the issue be resolved through a bout of combat, which was to take place immediately. Equipped with only his shepherd's crook, Calbrett fought the assailant who attacked him with the horn of a goat. His attacker's weapon, however, proved impotent, as the bitter cold had made it brittle, shattering like a shard of ice as it made contact with Calbrett's stout cranium. Using his crook, he caught the now unarmed challenger by the neck and threw him to his death from the ledge on which the fight took place, securing his position as leader of his people. Following the battle, members of his tribe named him 'Shatter-Horn' in recognition of his exceptional osteological fortitude, a title which has now been ingratiated into Calbrett's family name. Subsequently, his small tribe became known as the Shatter-Horn Clan, which would ultimately grow into the Fortis province, and eventually becoming the ancestral roots of the Federation of Vocavium itself.

Growing up as a nomad amongst the mountains, Calbrett is exceptionally hardy and strong, both in body and mind. His spartan lifestyle and stoic mannerisms are famous throughout Vocavium, and he has never been known to lose his temper, or even raise his voice. His patience and sincerity are legendary, and have been instrumental in diffusing the bitter feuds between the warring tribes before the unification of the federation. Despite his calm demeanour, however, he is unafraid to exercise physical force when he deems necessary, being forced to intervene on a number of occasions in fights between tribe members. His stout build and muscled frame afford him frightening strength, and none who have opposed him in combat have bested him. Even in his old age he remained entirely compos mentis and physically fit.

After becoming leader of the Shatter-Horn Clan at the age of just 17, Calbrett quickly sought a wife, knowing that the key to securing his family name and starting a dynasty was to father a son. He was wedded to '''Jelissa Myrone''' in 2014, whom he remains happily married to. After years of trying, their first and only son, '''Raminus Altum Shatter-Horn''', was born on the 28th of January, 2067.

In 2084, Calbrett suffered the first in a series of serious coughing fits that were deemed by his personal doctor as the beginning of the end. Despite a hardy constitution, he admitted publicly that his strength was fading with each passing year, and that by the end of the decade his time may be up. As of 2085, auxiliary powers have been allocated to Raminus in the event that Calbrett passes unexpectedly. Making the most of his remaining time, his twilight years were focused on developing the Vocavian Navy, personally mandating that the Vocavian Naval assets should be second to none.

In late 2089 Calbrett Shatter-Horn passed. He was accompanied on his deathbed only by his son, who was stricken with grief such that for several weeks he refused to speak with anyone while he resided in the family's home in the Avum mountains.

The Shipbuilding Renaissance was a transitional period of worldwide maritime industry toward larger and more complex vessels following the beginning of the [[Timeline|Era of Strife]]. Beginning in the late 2070s in areas with strong naval tradition (such as [[Aquaria]] and [[Vocavium]]), the Shipbuilding Renaissance had spread all across [[Kerbin]] by 2090. This transition included the developement of the neccessary propulsion systems, weapons, lifts, protection, logistical networks, harbours, and the industries needed to support these. This period also marks the end of the shipbuilding slump which hit prior to the [[Great Decline]]. By the 2080s [[Vocavium]] and [[Aquaria]] were leaders in this Renaissance, having the infrastructure to mass produce vessels over 150 metres long.

Sahrland-Bastia was named after the two countries that make it up. The country retained the Bastia name despite the loss of the Bastia territory itself, all of which remaining was upper bastia.

Population density varied by member state too, by 2150 Bastia had 21.85% of the population at 426,000~ citizens and Sahrland 76.15% at 1,950,000~, with the remaining 2% being [[Chadastok|Sahren Chadastok]] at 39,000~.

A policy of linguistic reform was enacted for the entire Commonwealth's existance with the goal of making a majority of citizens fluent in both Bastian and Egercian. While this policy bore some fruit, long term success is unknowable as the state dissolved only after 53 years.

Zokesian businesses helped to rebuild much of the infrastructure in Bastia after the civil war, which linked it to the Zokesian economic sphere. Sahrland had less assistance from Tekkia and much of the infrastructure was outdated or destroyed. This led to the Sahren economy developing around their lack of infrastructure rather than recovering properly. Maritime trade was the only link between Sahrland and Bastia so these issues were never effectively addressed.

The end of the civil war resulted in the creation of the Sahrland-Bastia commonwealth, in which Bastia was effectively forced into joining. The two countries were quickly transformed from a minor power to a secondary power together.
 
===Treaty of Phoezi===
In early 2148 the treaty of Phoezi expired which declared Nuvastia had to be created from all of it's former territory. The treaty was renegotiated for most of the year and the proper Bastian region was released as Nuvastia with Upper Bastia remaining in the commonwealth and Wardia remaining Zokesian. The state retained the name "Republic of Bastia" despite this.
 
===Dissolvement===
In Aughtafael of 2197 the Commonwealth was in decline. the AUghtafael coup was launched by the Sahren-Republican-Guard-of-Internal-Affairs and a portion of the Bastian army intended to seize control and abolish reforms that they believed were doing more harm than good. The coup failed and helped accelerate the decline as the Bastian government was destroyed and had to be re-established. 2 months later on Khelad 27th the Republic of Bastia left the Sahrland-Bastia Commonwealth. On the 28th Sahrland left the Commonwealth and the country technically existed without territory for 6 more days before it was officially dissolved.
 
===Legacy===
The policies enacted by the Sahrland-Bastia commonwealth created a unique political situation between its member states. Their economic leanings were to two different powers, but they had great potential to act as a third economic sphere in kolus. Commonwealth legacy also left the two states as historical allies. Commonwealth nostalgia has seen significant popularity and still influences policies to this day. Much of the public work projects of the government are now undertaken by the [[Community of Commonards in Bastia]].

The '''Sys class destroyer''' is a group of two destroyers produced by the [[Sahren Navy]] in order to replace the [[Blokha-class Destroyer]]s. Both were named after [[Sahren Communes|Communes]]. They are sometimes also called frigates as small destroyer is a distinction not made in many navies.

After the [[Sahren Civil War]] efforts to bring the [[Sahren Navy|Navy]] up to pre-war standards were sidelined for decades in favour of industrialisation and public works programmes. By this time the navy consisted only of [[SN Khosa (No.23)]], [[SN Blokha (No.25)]], and a handful of [[Capalmara class TBD|Capalmara class]] torpedo boats. By 2183 the navy sought to replace the Blokha class in it's entirety with newer vessels.

Initial specifications demanded at least three 127mm main guns and six anti-munition cannons while displacing a maximum of 25% more than the [[Blokha-class]], or 700 tonnes. The design committee proved this impossible while keeping the vessel seaworthy so specifications were lowered to three 102mm main guns and five anti-munition cannons.

in 2194 both vessels were taken to refit as part of High Admiral [[Lynæ Samatov]]'s [[Rearmament Plan Æ|Plan Æ]]. In this refit they were reclassified as small destroyers and given eight heavy missile tubes and twenty-four light missile tubes in [[Feadan Ordanas System|FeaCórdana]] mounts, along with the removal of the rear turret and installation of two 40mm anti-drone guns. A new set of engines were also installed to solve existing electrical issues, neccessitating the addition of far more fuel to keep the same range. The Córas Feadan Ordanas (System for Tube Ordinance) or FeaCórdana mount is a device for launching guided missiles, and is found on many [[Sahren Navy]] ships. They were designed as an intermediary between a vertical launching system and box launchers, as the previous box launchers proved unreliable and the narrow freeboard and draft of Sahren ships prevented the use of full size VLS cells. This list includes all launchers that are part of CFO system. Included on this list are missile launchers that have not been adopted yet.

The Z-40 Mantis was designed in the 2130s, when Zokesia was embroiled in the Nautilane-Gallante war and was still struggling to fill the gaps left by the prewar navy. The fleet carriers of [[ZNS Emperor Zeroth (CVN-21)|''Emperor Zeroth'']] and [[ZNS Imperator Drekevak (CVN-22)|''Imperator Drekevak'']] were not even on the drawing board, and other than the aging carrier ''Fort Grace'' and smaller auxiliary carriers, the Zokesian fleet was unable to provide sufficient deck space for larger strike fighters, and was forced to use Naval versions of Z-80s and K-40 fighters imported from Orion.[[File:ZokeScreenshot3999.png|left|thumb|Zokesian Z-40 performing flight tests aboard ''ZNS Bayken.'']]The Z-40's first prototypes were slow in development, and by 2135 only a single prototype was flying. The process of designing the variable-incidence engine nozzles was complex, requiring four smaller engines to operate, as well as a cutoff for the front pair, increasing weight and complexity. The first prototypes, codenamed "Mantis" by Ward Industries, were delivered to the Zokesian Navy in 2139. By now, the fleet carriers were under construction and the immediate need for a VTOL fighter was no longer as urgent and the Kolusian Dust Bowl had ravaged the economy of Zokesia and its allies, and the contract was cancelled. A total of 12 Mantis prototypes were built and used for VTOL test research on the escort carrier ''ZNS Bayken'', from 2139 to 2145. The [[F-52 Kargadan|F-52J Kargadan]] was selected instead to form the backbone of Zokesian naval air power, successfully performing flight operations off the small carriers previously only able to tender single-engine fighters.

In 2148, the Reclamation War between the UIF Coalition and Arcadia was in full swing, and the need for naval air power once again became apparent. The fleet carriers operating hundreds of miles from friendly bases staged a dramatic air war, and the Battle of North Point rewrote the books on the possibility of invading a foreign power far from home, using naval assets alone. The engagement was primarily between fleet carriers and surface warships, but many in the Zokesian High Command believed the battle was closer than it needed to be, with Coalition air assets stretched thin protecting the invasion fleet. A handful of escort carriers with effective ground-attack capable fighters would have no doubt been able to reinforce the invasion fleet and reduce the workload of the fleet carrier present, and the development for the Z-40 was restarted.

Orion engineers were brought on as consultants to the project, to refine the design and bring the Mantis up to modern fighter jet standards. Among the changes was the redesign of the lift jets, which allowed the forward pair of engines to be removed entirely, simplifying the jet and reducing both cost and weight significantly. {{Draft}}The Sobek Class is a class of Light Cruiser in service with the Vocavian Navy. Intended as a stop-gap measure to fill the Navy's need for a dependable and ubiquitous warship that could effecttively engage armoured surface vessels and support larger warships, the Sobek Class was hurried into production in 2081. The [https://kerbal-powers.fandom.com/wiki/Vocavium_Shipbuilding_Department VSD] was commissioned to manufacture the warship, and in early 2082 the VN 'Sinai' was launched, the first ship of her class. Despite being intended as a temporary and even rudimentary design, the Sobek was quickly recognised as a potent asset and vital addition to the Navy's rapidly growing fleet. The hull of the Sobek is particularly accommodating of new modifications and armament configurations, making her ideally suited for her role as a light cruiser, capable of fighting in equal terms with larger warships whilst being flexible enough to fill whichever role is required of her.

== Design ==
The Sobek Class is outfitted with a wide array of weaponry, permitting it to tackle a variety of targets with great proficiency. The sleek hull is characterised by a wide beam and pronounced bow, which was specifically shaped and armoured to be utilised as a ram against other surface ships. At over 1,000 tons and with a top speed of 80 knots, ramming attacks are an exceptionally effective method of neutralising targets if the Sobek can get within range, even if it is a somewhat primitive approach. Four 8 inch guns serve as the ship's primary armament, supplemented by four 140mm guns. Both have great destructive potential against armoured targets and are intended for taking out surface vessels at range. A further four 90mm guns are also intended for use against surface vessels, though are reserved for shorter ranges and softer targets. As well as guns, the Sobek carries ten cruise missiles for use against targets and positions inland, offering the vessel great tactical potential. Finally, ship's anti aircraft weaponry is comprised of two MK2 CIWS and a pair of lasers mounted on top of the bridge, comprehensively protecting the ships from aircraft and incoming missiles.

Intended as a stop-gap measure to fill the Navy's need for a dependable and ubiquitous warship that could effecttively engage armoured surface vessels and support larger warships, the Sobek Class was hurried into production in 2081. The [https://kerbal-powers.fandom.com/wiki/Vocavium_Shipbuilding_Department VSD] was commissioned to manufacture the warship, and in early 2082 the VN 'Sinai' was launched, the first ship of her class. Despite being intended as a temporary and even rudimentary design, the Sobek was quickly recognised as a potent asset and vital addition to the Navy's rapidly growing fleet. The hull of the Sobek is particularly accommodating of new modifications and armament configurations, making her ideally suited for her role as a light cruiser, capable of fighting in equal terms with larger warships whilst being flexible enough to fill whichever role is required of her.

== Design ==
The Sobek Class is outfitted with a wide array of weaponry, permitting it to tackle a variety of targets with great proficiency. The sleek hull is characterised by a wide beam and pronounced bow, which was specifically shaped and armoured to be utilised as a ram against other surface ships. At over 1,000 tons and with a top speed of 80 knots, ramming attacks are an exceptionally effective method of neutralising targets if the Sobek can get within range, even if it is a somewhat primitive approach. Four 8 inch guns serve as the ship's primary armament, supplemented by four 140mm guns. Both have great destructive potential against armoured targets and are intended for taking out surface vessels at range. A further four 90mm guns are also intended for use against surface vessels, though are reserved for shorter ranges and softer targets. As well as guns, the Sobek carries ten cruise missiles for use against targets and positions inland, offering the vessel great tactical potential. Finally, ship's anti aircraft weaponry is comprised of two MK2 CIWS and a pair of lasers mounted on top of the bridge, comprehensively protecting the ships from aircraft and incoming missiles.

== Design and construction ==
the Leamhan was laid down in the [[Royal Drydock Company|Klensagradina Stahlduga]] as SN Leamhan (No.29) and would have been the fifth and final Blokha class destroyer. Similarly to the sister ships, Leanhan's construction was wrought with corruption and funding inadequacy and the design itself was a product of domestic missile production shortcomings. The maritime strategic situation was also rapidly evolving which left most of the Blokhas to be considered obsolete upon launch. As the last ship Leamhan was cancelled while being outfitted with weapons and sold to the highest bidder, which happened to be [[Oighearflot corporation|Oighearflot]].

Quality control of early Sahren vessels was poor resulting in Blokhas all having various different flaws. Leamhan's screws produced vibrations which threatened to tear the ship apart but possessed unusually high stability for her class. At the time of sale there were almost no weapons with only one 102mm cannon was installed in the foremost turret. Despite these shortcomings the company was still confident it could be turned into a profitable river transport.

In charge of the conversion work was Sinead-dana Fionnghail who is notable for work on paddle ships. Accordingly, his belief for how to address the screw issues was to install paddlewheels so the screws would not need to rotate as often to achieve the same speed. These were made of 25mm thick aluminium plating and increased the beam of the vessel from 12.1 to 16.9 metres. The two spaces where the rear turrets would have been were used for smaller 37mm cannons, and magazine size was reduced for all weapons. This all gave Leamhan a strong self defence capability which was a common factor on Oighearflot ships.

== Service life ==
Leamhan entered service in 2137 amid rising tensions in the nation. She served in the (unnamed river) transporting goods between Sys and [[Dugthail]] while fending off attacks from gangs and partisans who often tried to commandeer vessels to fund their cause. One incident of note in this period was during the 2141 Pozhar revolts when Leamhan misidentified [[Kralnovism|Kralnovist]] forces as boarders when they were crossing the river to seize Dugthail. Leamhan rammed one small boat and sank at least 3 with the guns as she tried to retreat downstream, and in the process clipped another boat with the starboard paddlecage which crushed the boat and jammed the paddle. Miraculously nobody was killed in this incident, though severe injuries were inflicted to several crew on both sides.

The war began with a [[Svobodism|Republican]] surprise attack on [[Sys]] which quickly seized the town, which was where Leamhan was docked at the time. Control was taken over by the [[Sahren Republican Guard|Republican Guard]] to assist in river operations for the eventual capture of [[Dugthail]], though the [[Dugthail Puscht]] rendered this operation unneccessary. For most of the rest of the war Leamhan served to transport goods and personelle between Sys and Dugthail.

In preparation for [[Operation Tetraethyllead]] Leamhan was used to transport weapons to staging grounds near the [[Klensagrad|Klens Peninsula]]. A blockade was already in place of the city done covertly by the [[Phoenian Federal Navy]] so Leamhan's services as a warship were not desired, though she did sail in to port after the battle was over carrying demolition equipment for capals which was to be used to clear roadways in the aftermath. Her sister ships [[KC Midzha (No.27)|KC Midzha]] and [[SN Blokha (No.25)|SN Blokha]] were also present there, though Midzha had rolled over by a bomb blast after it had been sunk as a coastal emplacement and was only half submerged. This would mark the last time all surviving [[Blokha class]] destroyers were in one place, as Roiste and Myskit had been sunk and Midzha would never be refloated due to post war budget cuts.

Just as Blokha was being handed off to the [[Sahren Navy]], Leamhan was given back to [[Oighearflot corporation|Oighearflot]] as soon as [[Klensagrad]] fell. She returned to service as a river transport, though her relevancy as an armed transport was waning due to gradual stabilization of the region under the [[Svobodism|Svobodist]] regime. She has continued to serve for nearly 70 years, and due to the lack of salt corrosion in freshwater rivers is projected to continue serving up to a maximum of 100 years, by which point her electrical equipment is expected to burn out for good as the manufacturer stopped producing its spare parts in the late 2180s.

The Chevspendi are a nomadic tribe in Kolus and Noria. They are a very detached member of the Burric cultural group with their most similar people being the Egercians in [[Sahr|Sahrland]].

The Chevspendics spent a majority of their history as an oligarchic tribal horde which migrated from place to place, spreading all the way from Doren to Kolus and according to claims with limited evidence, possibly even north Mlorba and the Arctic circle. They settled down in 2106 forming [[Sahr]], with a majority of the tribe joining this new nation, burrifying the native Egercians while adopting the Egercian language and Tekkian arts. The remainder who did not participate in the [[Chevspendic invasion]] became known as Chevspendic Traditionalists, maintaining their nomadic traditions and language despite their much smaller numbers.

[[Sahr]] declared itself "Protector of the Chevspendi on the Kolusian and Norian continent" during the 2120s, creating a unique political situation where both Sahrens and Chevspendics influence and negotiate in eachother's politics in order to avoid alienation.

The Chevspendic language is of Burric origin and is most easily comparable to ancient Surnic. Linguistic research into Surnic has been aided by referring ancient sources to the Chevspendic language.
Culture and traditions varied from tribe to tribe. In the early years of the Horde traditions were varied, but consolidated rapidly afterward. The Chevspendic horde took an assimilation policy to conquered peoples. City states that fell under the influence of the Chevspendi were either integrated or forced into a tributary system. Specified jobs like masonry and metallurgy are largely nonexistant in nomadic societies, which leaves mostly written sources by settled civilizations or works of art and literature by their tributary city-states.

From the age of 8 upward Chevspendic children began firearm training. By the age of 15 Chevspendics partook in a coming of age ceremony which formalizes their adulthood status.

Occasionally more powerful tribes sent their children to the institutions of a settled civilization. Skills like literature, mathematics, philosophy, and administration entered the Horde as they taught their peers upon returning. This practice kept the average Chevspendic to nearly the same level of education as settled societies. In rare cases Chevspendics captured professionals from settled civilizations and forced them to become tutors.

Their practices in worship largely define the difference between Ebudism in [[Sahr]] and Ebudism everywhere else. The nearly unanimous adoption of radar by the beginning of the 21st century led to the fitting of radar onto the gliders.

The Chevspendic horde drew upon their tribes for the acquiring of levies in times of war. These were divided on a simple system of base twelve. 12 was a Ört komandasi (firing team), 8 öry komandasi made a Yris komandasi (battle team), 12 Yris komandasi was a Komandalik komandasi (command team) and 24 Komandalik komandasi was a Bakilaw komandasi (control team).

The most Infamous part of the Chevspendic horde was their use of the cavalry rifleman. These riflemen were developed around firepower and armour at the cost of maneuverability in order to remain competitive against armoured vehicles. Their main armament consisted of handheld anti-tank guns which would also double as a blunt force lance if the Chevspendic got close enough. Many depictions of the Chevspendics feature them charging armoured vehicles with lances and sabers as a result, despite the fact that these were rarely actually used as lances and more often worked as Cavalrised howitzers. Cavalry riflemen eventually became the main fighting force, but retained primitive weaponry like their sabers as it created the expectation for the riders that they would need to get close enough for such weapons to be useful, which was thought to improve dicipline and morale.

===Founding (1800~)===
records from this time are hard to find, and a majority of the history is semi-mythical. Still a significant amount of evidence supports the creation story that is largely accepted by modern Chevspendic-traditionalists.

In popular Chevspendic myth the founding of the Horde began from five surnic tribes spread out across the great north. These tribes routinely fought against eachother and made agreements about specific raiding territories. A rising individual named Atakti-ouli from the Siyah-Kon (black capal) tribe sought to end conflict between the tribes and unite them through diplomacy and negotiation. It is estimated this endeavor took him 20-30 years, and by the end of his life he declared himself Cynaz of the Siyah-Kon tribe, and the other cheifs to be Cynaz of equivelant rank functioning in an oligarchic governing structure. Upon his death, the Siyah-Kon tribe renamed itself to the Ataki-ouli tribe in his honour. His saber which was said to be blessed by the Mountain God himself was sealed away in his tomb in a cave in modern day [[Sarconia]] as per his wishes. The prophetic legend states in the time of his descendant's last breath he will awaken from death, sprout wings, and lead the last of the Chevspendics on a conquest of new lands in a higher realm and they will all become semi-God entities to dutifully watch over the rest of [[Kerbin]].

It has also been claimed by some historians the Northern Barbarians mentioned early in the history of [[Zokesia]] could be predescessors to the Chevpsendi, and there is significant evidence to support this with similarities in Chevspendic artifacts found in the region. However given the time difference of 2300 years these northern barbarians would be far different from the tribes who formed the Chevspendi, if they were derived from there at all.

The generation of Cynaz following Atakti-ouli sought to centralise the tribe and concentrate their forces into a smaller area as settled civilizations had grown too strong to raid in such a decentralised structure. As a result the Chevspendic sphere of influence shrank to only spreading from doren to firesvar.
===Conversion to Ebudism (1850~-1920)===
Ebudists began joining the tribe around the mid 1800s and converting the tribe to Ebudism. The religion spread quickly throughout the tribe and through areas the Chevspendics conquered. Even today Ebudist minorities can be found leaving almost a trail which the Chevspendi travelled.
===Migration across the north (1946-1992)===
Facing increasing strife and stronger centralised states in their sphere, the Chevspendic Cynaz began a slow migration across the Deep North to newer lands. After passing the Belanirislavs they saw little to no resistance in terms of battles. The theory that Chevspendics travelled through the arctic is supported by Surnish written accounts of the time period, writing that the Chevspendics passed through their lands battered by cold and famine, many missing limbs thought to be from frostbite injury. This theory fails to explain why the horde would choose such a path, as the way to Kolus was almost entirely controlled by states that would be neutral or friendly to their fellow Burrs.

===The Lavro coup (2094-2096)===
The Lavro tribe was a vassal tribe under the old Atakti-ouli tribe, whose ruler Bekzat-ako Ouli intended to conquer three tribes who had united into the Triumverate in a plan to excert near dictatorial centralisation over the horde. The Triumverate had similar plans and conflict was unnavoidable. Bekzat-ako Ouli led his lancers into battle against a superior Triumverate force at a point where Mamb estuaries and swampland left a small sliver of usable battleground. Initially Ouli inflicted heavy casualties, but found himself surrounded when dismounted scouting dragoons from the Triumverate appeared behind his force. The hasty retreat left the Atakti-ouli crippled as large portions of their dragoons and equipment were slaughtered as their escape route tightened.

Lavro forces lagged behind before the battle and were intended to reinforce Atakti-ouli as the battle continued, but found themselves the larger force as their overlords rushed to join their ranks. cynaz Miden Lavro forced Ouli to agree to submit and join the Lavro tribe if they were going to continue to resist. The fresh Lavros now bolstered by surviving Oulis fled along Mamb estuaries, hiding their men and equipement in reeds and disguising their steeds as wild [[Capal]]s by removing their saddles. Suddenly the diversion force turned around and smashed back into the Triumverate line, taking heavy losses until a signal flaregun was fired, signifying to the hiding riders that the battle had begun. They wrapped around the Triumverates, constricting them so tight both sides had to dismount and fight as infantry. An estimated 35,000 men died in the insuing encirclement, creating a power vaccuum the Lavros moved swiftly to fill after seizing Triumverate Capals and weapons. Miden Lavro levraged friendships with the Cynaz of the Abzalev and Adaman tribes to take them as vassals. Additionally any member of the Triumverate who swore an oath of allegiance to Miden was permitted to live and join the Lavros, causing many of his former enemies to become loyal subjects.

===The Cynazdic purge (2096-2106) ===
Upon hearing news of [[The Shattering]] word began to spread through the tribes that it was an omen from God that the prophecy of Atakti-ouli was coming near. This is likely a contributing factor to the actions of Grand Cynaz Miden Lavro in the coming decades. The Chevspendic invasion was drafted in 2096 but kept hidden as cynaz Miden still needed to centralise his dictatorial authority. The Lavros launched campaigns against several tribes disloyal to them, most notably the Tengins who suffered such a fate their tribe was dissolved and their members sent to others. The purges showed the clear message that anyone who did not pledge loyalty to Miden Lavro would simply be overrun.

===Settling in the Sahrlands (2106-2122)===
The city states of Dugthail and Kravsmad in the Egercian region proved too weak to give meaningfull resistance to the [[Chevspendic invasion]]. Raiding and kidnapping strategies were completely abandoned as the new goal was to assimilate the two peoples into eachother and effectively swallow two nations at once. The [[Language reform act of 2109]] set Egercian as the new language and a literacy campaign soon followed. In 2112 a suitable location for a settled capital buildin was found, and Khosa was established on the Egercian coast. Architects and engineers were hired all the way from Tekkia not only for their expertise but to inspire unity between the Egercians and Chevspendics. By this point the process was already reaching it's conclusion, with most historians placing the end of the Chevspendic horde at 2122 when the population of Sahrland swelled to three times the size of the Chevspendic population.

The SN Khosa performed escort duties for the Sahren-Nuvastian combined expeditionary forces, along with sister ship SN Indestructible. By the time the expeditionary forces arrived the Stahlsieg was mostly beaten back by the Zokesian armed forces. The Nuvan-Sahren force only participated in suppression of partisans and the occupation of the territory. The Sahren battleships did not fire a single shot but their potential for artillery support positively effected morale of the combined forces.

The Sahren Navy was unable to mutiny due to Phoenian and Zokesian Naval power projection. The vessel came under attack by Klensagrad partisans along with her screen SN Blokha when the civil war began. The two ships planned to sail to Khosa to secure the harbour and wait out the war but Blokha had to turn back after engine failure slowed its speed. SN Khosa and her screen sailed for Phoenian territorial waters and were interned and given to the Republicans post war. This action made it seen in the Phoenian and Republican public that the navy defected rather than picking a side, causing the Navy to be absorbed into the new state rather than a new republican Navy be created.

==== 2199 refit ====
SN Khosa sailed into the Slovale harbour as part of naval rearmament plan Æ. The harbour was modified with large tarps on scaffolding to conceal the ship. Attempts to leak information have been heavily penalized. The ship currently sits there and is projected to stay for two or more years before reconstruction is finalized.

The name sahrland comes from the Burric [[Chevspendi]] people which called this land "Sahrlandiya" literally translating as "Sweet Lands" in reference to the fertile soil. When they settled into this region Grand Cynaz Miden 1st adopted the title of Grand Prince of Sahr, formalising the nation. A careful programme of linguistic reform and interracial marriages was undertaken to integrate the native Egercians and the Chevspendics into one culture. This results in "Sahrland" representing the state and "Egercia" representing the people and the land. In modern times the two terms have come to be almost interchangeable.

Another theory states the name is possibly derived from the proto-Burric word şahar, meaning town or settlement, as the Chevspendi were a nomadic people before they settled the area.

Under the demands of Grand Prince [[Miden 1st]] the Chevspendic invaders adopted the same language as the Egercians whose land they conquered, which set the foundations for the culture of modern day Sahrland. After the [[Sahren Civil War]] ended in [[Svobodism|Republican]] victory, the new government emphasized the development of Sahren culture in new directions.

The [[Capal]] holds a significant stranglehold over Sahren culture, in this manner only [[Sarconia|Sarconian]] culture can be compared to. Sahrland launched an invasion of the Grand duchy of Kravsmad with the goal of forcing a personal union. Kravsmad lost a series of battles and by 2124 94% of Kravsmadite land was occupied by Sahren forces. In Aughtafael, 2124 the Kingdom of Medraria joined the war against Sahrland. During the bombardment Ancom naval batteries heavily damaged one ship and lightly damaged others. The zokesi bombardment resulted in most of the Ancom naval batteries to be destroyed, and damage to the industrial ability to make war. The national salvation party were outflanked by the Labour party, beginning the third siege of Slovale. The republicans won in klensagrad against the Ancoms. The freed up troops created a breakthrough which completely overran all other factions.

For most of the year it was renegotiated and the bastia region was allowed to be independent, while upper bastia was to remain in the commonwealth. The worker's party (the second largest part within the republican alliance) Supported civil war hero Karlo Frakchiya. His first act as president involved the recreation of Aonta by signing into a union with phoenia. As a condition the egercian provinces of Baile and Rokfor were transferred into Sahrland. Frakchiya's reign continued to foster the economic growth and peace in the previous years, with a more hardline approach. He oversaw the Chadastok-Hartfordia crisis, where the Chadastok People's Militia joined with hartford seperatists and began a guerilla campaign against the imperial union. By all accounts they were heavily beaten back until the Orion empire collapsed and granted hartfordia independence. Sahren republican guard had landed in the city by this time and took control. Perpetrators of the revolt were arrested for treason and Chadastok was stripped of it's right to an independent militia. On frakchiya's second term, he had narrowly won the election against both Daria Adaman and Gerbin Pridurok only because the liberal and conservative parties could not negotiate an alliance with another. The largest post civil war protest sahrland saw eventually forced Frakchiya to resign in 2156 and Adaman won the elections afterward. The Post war golden age ended in the Hysteria of 2160, which brought on complete economic collapse and reorganization.

The hysteria of 2160 was not economic collapse, but a spontaneous reorganization caused by increased international trade and the difference in scale between the Egercian and Tekkian economies. Workers moved to the southern Egercian regions as they showed more opportunities than the war torn Dugthail region. Military spending and unrest settled to the lowest they've ever been in Sahren history. Power shifted southward as the north never properly recovered from war damages. The hysteria was a complete disaster for Adaman's political career. Kelbert-dua tengin was able to secure the next presidency with overwhelming superiority by accusing Adaman of selling out the country and promising a return to a state managed economy.

The union with Phoenia strengthened as it was viewed less as a ploy to gain more Egercian territories and more as a genuine union. The Sahren government relinquished it's claim on Ria in 2171 in exchange for permanant control of Rockfor and Baile. This 40 year period of pure uninterrupted peace caused an increase in the population and steady economic growth. The legacy of the Republican party finally died in the 2165 election as the parties formed from it ended their loose alliances. Sahrland-bastia as a whole suffered a general decline and caused the government to balloon with power and corruption to stop it from collapsing. Promised reforms in 2197 caused the failed [[Aughtafael coup]] in Bastia which only sped up the process of decline. In 2197 Bastia left Sahrland-Bastia and a day later Sahrland left the Commonwealth, ending 53 years of union and dropping Sahrland from secondary power to minor power status. By 2200 the topic of king Kirbo Lavro's demise has become unavoidable. His intervention in elections has proven a valuable asset in continuing the Forever Peace.

The Caledon archipelago saw untold growth of poverty after the collapse of the maritime industry in 2100, which was the main economic sector of the [[Atlas|UAS]]. The economy reached it's peak low in [[Calendar|July]] 2139 with an unemployment level of 70% and having shrunk 48% since the beginning of the crisis. The economy began to recover slowly due to a combination of long term recovery programmes and Atlasian allies ordering ships built in their yards in order to support their geopolitical strategy.

For the next 19 months after peak low conditions improved drastically on the mainland, while the outlying islands lagged behind in recovery efforts.

In [[Calendar|December]] 2140 a spontaneous wave of riots in Freforn overthrew their local governments, forming their own and declaring independence. The gutted Atlasian armed forces commandeered and retrofitted patrol vessels and cargo ships to supplement their own forces. The resulting attempts to retake Freforn incurred heavy casualties on both sides with only a minor beachhead established for the federal government.

Meanwhile a drug smuggling crisis between [[Nuvastia]] and [[Surnay]] resulted in Nuvastian naval vessels beginning patrols to stop the smuggling. Economic slowdown caused by this crisis indirectly impacted the fragile recovery of the Atlasian economy, which resulted in another economic collapse similar to the one in 2100, undoing the last 40 years of progress.

The Chevspendi are a nomadic tribe in Kolus and Noria. They are a very detached member of the Burric cultural group with their most similar people being the Egercians in [[Sahr|Sahrland]].

The Chevspendics spent a majority of their history as an oligarchic tribal horde which migrated from place to place, spreading all the way from Doren to Kolus and according to claims with limited evidence, possibly even north Mlorba and the Arctic circle. They settled down in 2106 forming [[Sahr]], with a majority of the tribe joining this new nation, burrifying the native Egercians while adopting the Egercian language and Tekkian arts. The remainder who did not participate in the [[Chevspendic invasion]] became known as Chevspendic Traditionalists, maintaining their nomadic traditions and language despite their much smaller numbers.

[[Sahr]] declared itself "Protector of the Chevspendi on the Kolusian and Norian continent" during the 2120s, creating a unique political situation where both Sahrens and Chevspendics influence and negotiate in eachother's politics in order to avoid alienation.

The Chevspendic Horde traversed from doren, the great north, to kolus. They saw a variety of geography, from the tundra of the great north to the mamb river.

Consistant foreign relations with the Chevpsendic horde was a difficult endeavor due to the decentralised ruling structure. Many nations like the city-state of [[Dugthail]] were mostly a trading partner while nations like [[Zokesia]] were likely targets for raiding.

The Chevspendic language is of Burric origin and is most easily comparable to ancient Surnic. Linguistic research into Surnic has been aided by referring ancient sources to the Chevspendic language.
Culture and traditions varied from tribe to tribe. In the early years of the Horde traditions were varied, but consolidated rapidly afterward. The Chevspendic horde took an assimilation policy to conquered peoples. City states that fell under the influence of the Chevspendi were either integrated or forced into a tributary system. Specified jobs like masonry and metallurgy are largely nonexistant in nomadic societies, which leaves mostly written sources by settled civilizations or works of art and literature by their tributary city-states.

From the age of 8 upward Chevspendic children began firearm training. By the age of 15 Chevspendics partook in a coming of age ceremony which formalizes their adulthood status.

Occasionally more powerful tribes sent their children to the institutions of a settled civilization. Skills like literature, mathematics, philosophy, and administration entered the Horde as they taught their peers upon returning. This practice kept the average Chevspendic to nearly the same level of education as settled societies. In rare cases Chevspendics captured professionals from settled civilizations and forced them to become tutors.

Chevspendics held onto their Ebudist faith no matter how many people they absorbed into the horde. Their practices in worship largely define the difference between Ebudism in [[Sahr]] and Ebudism everywhere else. During the Chevspendic invasion of Egercia Ebudist authorities from the horde and some brought in all the way from Surnay worked to convert their new Egercian subjects.

Air power of the Chevspendic horde was formed relatively late in their history from the flayer korpwsi (glider corps). These were originally gliders which were towwed by two or more [[Capal]]s and held one observer. Scouting groups traveled ahead of the rest of the formation in a search line just close enough to send morse signals to eachother.

The nearly unanimous adoption of radar by the beginning of the 21st century led to the fitting of radar onto the gliders.

The Chevspendic horde drew upon their tribes for the acquiring of levies in times of war. These were divided on a simple system of base twelve. 12 was a Ört komandasi (firing team), 8 öry komandasi made a Yris komandasi (battle team), 12 Yris komandasi was a Komandalik komandasi (command team) and 24 Komandalik komandasi was a Bakilaw komandasi (control team).

The most Infamous part of the Chevspendic horde was their use of the cavalry rifleman. These riflemen were developed around firepower and armour at the cost of maneuverability in order to remain competitive against armoured vehicles. Their main armament consisted of handheld anti-tank guns which would also double as a blunt force lance if the Chevspendic got close enough. Many depictions of the Chevspendics feature them charging armoured vehicles with lances and sabers as a result, despite the fact that these were rarely actually used as lances and more often worked as Cavalrised howitzers. Cavalry riflemen eventually became the main fighting force, but retained primitive weaponry like their sabers as it created the expectation for the riders that they would need to get close enough for such weapons to be useful, which was thought to improve dicipline and morale.

The Chevspendic horde was nearly landlocked for a majority of its history and were more renowned for their land prowess than naval prowess. Some tribes still recognized the practicality of barges which could be dragged which would allow for amphibious assaults across lakes or rivers.

Trading was a linchpin of Chevspendic military prowess. Settled civilizations could specify individuals with such capacity nomadic civilizations could not compete. Many wars were fought for superior trading terms or to force tribes or city states into tributary status. Integration of conquered peoples like this gave access to settled technologies which were otherwise inaccessible.

Technological developement of the Chevspendics began to falter around 2080s but had been in decline relative to settled societies for much longer. The nature of nomadic civilizations prevented certain innovations and the way of life of the nomad became harder as the world got smaller and smaller. This makes the Chevspendics notable for one of the last hordes to still exist despite their technical backwardness.

===Founding (1800~)===
records from this time are hard to find, and a majority of the history is semi-mythical. Still a significant amount of evidence supports the creation story that is largely accepted by modern Chevspendic-traditionalists.

In popular Chevspendic myth the founding of the Horde began from five surnic tribes spread out across the great north. These tribes routinely fought against eachother and made agreements about specific raiding territories. A rising individual named Atakti-ouli from the Siyah-Kon (black capal) tribe sought to end conflict between the tribes and unite them through diplomacy and negotiation. It is estimated this endeavor took him 20-30 years, and by the end of his life he declared himself Cynaz of the Siyah-Kon tribe, and the other cheifs to be Cynaz of equivelant rank functioning in an oligarchic governing structure. Upon his death, the Siyah-Kon tribe renamed itself to the Ataki-ouli tribe in his honour. His saber which was said to be blessed by the Mountain God himself was sealed away in his tomb in a cave in modern day [[Sarconia]] as per his wishes. The prophetic legend states in the time of his descendant's last breath he will awaken from death, sprout wings, and lead the last of the Chevspendics on a conquest of new lands in a higher realm and they will all become semi-God entities to dutifully watch over the rest of [[Kerbin]].

It has also been claimed by some historians the Northern Barbarians mentioned early in the history of [[Zokesia]] could be predescessors to the Chevpsendi, and there is significant evidence to support this with similarities in Chevspendic artifacts found in the region. However given the time difference of 2300 years these northern barbarians would be far different from the tribes who formed the Chevspendi, if they were derived from there at all.

===Mass centralisation in Doren (1830~-1880~)===
The generation of Cynaz following Atakti-ouli sought to centralise the tribe and concentrate their forces into a smaller area as settled civilizations had grown too strong to raid in such a decentralised structure. As a result the Chevspendic sphere of influence shrank to only spreading from doren to firesvar.
===Conversion to Ebudism (1850~-1920)===
Ebudists began joining the tribe around the mid 1800s and converting the tribe to Ebudism. The religion spread quickly throughout the tribe and through areas the Chevspendics conquered. Even today Ebudist minorities can be found leaving almost a trail which the Chevspendi travelled.
===Migration across the north (1946-1992)===
Facing increasing strife and stronger centralised states in their sphere, the Chevspendic Cynaz began a slow migration across the Deep North to newer lands. After passing the Belanirislavs they saw little to no resistance in terms of battles. The theory that Chevspendics travelled through the arctic is supported by Surnish written accounts of the time period, writing that the Chevspendics passed through their lands battered by cold and famine, many missing limbs thought to be from frostbite injury. This theory fails to explain why the horde would choose such a path, as the way to Kolus was almost entirely controlled by states that would be neutral or friendly to their fellow Burrs.

===The Lavro coup (2094-2096)===
The Lavro tribe was a vassal tribe under the old Atakti-ouli tribe, whose ruler Bekzat-ako Ouli intended to conquer three tribes who had united into the Triumverate in a plan to excert near dictatorial centralisation over the horde. The Triumverate had similar plans and conflict was unnavoidable. Bekzat-ako Ouli led his lancers into battle against a superior Triumverate force at a point where Mamb estuaries and swampland left a small sliver of usable battleground. Initially Ouli inflicted heavy casualties, but found himself surrounded when dismounted scouting dragoons from the Triumverate appeared behind his force. The hasty retreat left the Atakti-ouli crippled as large portions of their dragoons and equipment were slaughtered as their escape route tightened.

Lavro forces lagged behind before the battle and were intended to reinforce Atakti-ouli as the battle continued, but found themselves the larger force as their overlords rushed to join their ranks. cynaz Miden Lavro forced Ouli to agree to submit and join the Lavro tribe if they were going to continue to resist. The fresh Lavros now bolstered by surviving Oulis fled along Mamb estuaries, hiding their men and equipement in reeds and disguising their steeds as wild [[Capal]]s by removing their saddles. Suddenly the diversion force turned around and smashed back into the Triumverate line, taking heavy losses until a signal flaregun was fired, signifying to the hiding riders that the battle had begun. They wrapped around the Triumverates, constricting them so tight both sides had to dismount and fight as infantry. An estimated 35,000 men died in the insuing encirclement, creating a power vaccuum the Lavros moved swiftly to fill after seizing Triumverate Capals and weapons. Miden Lavro levraged friendships with the Cynaz of the Abzalev and Adaman tribes to take them as vassals. Additionally any member of the Triumverate who swore an oath of allegiance to Miden was permitted to live and join the Lavros, causing many of his former enemies to become loyal subjects.

===The Cynazdic purge (2096-2106) ===
Upon hearing news of [[The Shattering]] word began to spread through the tribes that it was an omen from God that the prophecy of Atakti-ouli was coming near. This is likely a contributing factor to the actions of Grand Cynaz Miden Lavro in the coming decades. The Chevspendic invasion was drafted in 2096 but kept hidden as cynaz Miden still needed to centralise his dictatorial authority. The Lavros launched campaigns against several tribes disloyal to them, most notably the Tengins who suffered such a fate their tribe was dissolved and their members sent to others. The purges showed the clear message that anyone who did not pledge loyalty to Miden Lavro would simply be overrun.

===Settling in the Sahrlands (2106-2122)===
The city states of Dugthail and Kravsmad in the Egercian region proved too weak to give meaningfull resistance to the [[Chevspendic invasion]]. Raiding and kidnapping strategies were completely abandoned as the new goal was to assimilate the two peoples into eachother and effectively swallow two nations at once. The [[Language reform act of 2109]] set Egercian as the new language and a literacy campaign soon followed. In 2112 a suitable location for a settled capital buildin was found, and Khosa was established on the Egercian coast. Architects and engineers were hired all the way from Tekkia not only for their expertise but to inspire unity between the Egercians and Chevspendics. By this point the process was already reaching it's conclusion, with most historians placing the end of the Chevspendic horde at 2122 when the population of Sahrland swelled to three times the size of the Chevspendic population.

===Modern Chevspendi (2122-present)===
A new era dawned on the Chevspendics after [[Sahr]] became an entrenched nation. They found themselves weilding enormous strength over the state in labour but also in soft power, but were at the wims of the changing ideals of their settled bretherin.

The Shattering is an eponym for the attacks which took place in the eastern hemisphere on January 18th, 2081, in which the Reciprocity lake states deployed their entire arsenal of [[Slow Bomb]]s and space fleet as a scorched earth measure as the [[Tau Coalition]]'s frontlines collapsed in the last moments of the [[Second Continental War]]. The resulting deaths numbered around ()-() million, and completely broke the Reciprocity and Doren for the next twenty years. Other nations like Aenia and Fegeland suffered less severe yet still devastating strikes which impaired their economies and political systems for years to come.

Shock rang out across the entire Solar system, both directly as refugees fled [[Kerbin]], and indirectly as the emotional response to the sheer loss of life defined politics for decades to come.

With Dorvic forces making great headway into the Reciprocal states, the long prepared scorched-earth measures were activated. Three Slow bomb type projectiles landed in Bitterwater lake, Sweetwater lake, and the Wolf's Jaw bay respectively. The majority of the other [[Slow Bomb|Slow bombs]] landed directly on Reciprocal territory, killing an estimated 1.5 million civilians, displacing another ten million, and completely destroying eleven cities. Toxic vapours were also released as polluted water evaporated and contaminated soil was churned up.

While asteroid type slow bombs landed in the Reciprocity and elsewhere, the vast Reciprocal space fleet made up the majority of projectiles which hit [[Doren]].

Doren, Aenia, Behin, Lonely, Aquaria, and Fegeland were all hit by hundreds of thousands of tonnes of space debris, either directly dropped onto them or ejected from the planet following another strike and landing down as secondary impacts.

On may 23rd, two months after the initial strikes, a delayed class E slow bomb was fired into [[Doren]]. This is a lone outlier from the other objects which targetted specific points of interest, instead landing in the badlands between Kalini and New Rostrum.

As Asteroids and other projectiles landed in Doren and the Reciprocity, Central Aenian Air Defence Command discovered one of the Class E objects, Ulysseys 1994XF04, was veering off it's planned course for unknown reasons. They were able to predict the impact location as just off the Caledonian Coast, and this information was passed down to all civil authorities. Only a small fraction of the citizens were able to evacuate for a variety of reasons.

At 3:17 AM Ulysseys 1994XF04 detonated only 9 kilometres west of Comberth, the resulting fireball reached up to the stratosphere and vapourised many residential areas, while the shockwave levelled buildings further away. This shockwave also produced a tsunami, which levelled the remainder of downtown Comberth. In hours, 330,000 Comberthians perished, and another 1.7 million were displaced. Additionally, the majority of the Federal government were killed in the attack.

Immediately after the Ulysseys Disaster, smaller orbital debris rained down onto the Tioga region. Fires ripped through towns and the regional capital Los Canas suffered severe damage.

The Konig crisis were a series of interrelated diplomatic incidents which took place at the beginning of 2080, which eventually spiraled into the [[Second Continental War]]. The crisis began in December with the collapse of a pro-Doren government in [[Konig]] following a controversial sacking of it's previous prime minister, eventually devolving into a civil war between Constitutionalist Konig and National-Bolshevist Konig.

== Background ==
[[Konig]] had been within the Aeserian sphere of influence following the defeat of [[PAKT]] in 2065, and represented a strategically vital buffer state between [[Aenia]] and the rest of continental Doren. Over the next 15 years it slowly drifted toward favourable relations with Doren, helped in part due to CPD influence. This was tolerated by the [[Aenia|FCA]] as it did not appear like the small nation would become aligned with doren any time in the near future, and they were held up by other matters such as [[Gorodsky]] and affairs in Mlorba.

=== New year's coup ===
This situation came to an end in early December 2080 as the deeply authoritarian [[Konig|Konigite]] united assemebly which controversially replaced it's pro-Aenian prime minister [[Jarvis Bachmeier]] in favour of a Pro-doren National-Bolshevist political party ''Alternativa za Konig'' (Alternative for Konig). Several days of protests followed, culminating in a partially successful coup d'etat to oust the new government, effectively causing the western half of the nation to split away.

Caught in a situation rapidly devolving into civil war, the Pro-doren government called upon the CPD for aid, who accepted the offer and mobilise armoured forces in preparation to aid their new allies in Konig.

After a secret meeting, Dorvic armoured forces were given the order to cross the border into eastern [[Konig]] and destroy the Constitutionalist opposition. At the same time the Aenian 501st legion was quickly redirected from [[Gagriel]] to aid Constitutionalist Konig, whose capital was abandoned as their leaders fled to [[North Point]] to form a government in exile. Supporters of Bachmeier's government and members of Konigite's defence forces consolidate into a new iteration of the [[Konig Republican Army]], starting a guerilla war against the invaders in an effort to buy time for prospective Aenian intervention.

=== Zokesian response ===
Following the invasion, the tense peace in [[Zokesia]]'s parliament shattered as the Social Republicans attempted to produce a bill to block any aid to Aenia, while Chancellor Grail and the Stahlpakt adamantly threw their support toward fellow NEOCON members. In the streets of [[Ezekialgrad]], fights broke out between the Blutgard and anti-war protestors. Seeing the division, the council of Doren sent a representative to speak to prime minister [[Albert Yosif]] about a peaceful agreement. Limited by opposition, Grail ordered the relocation of Zokesian army and Air forces to [[Phosphor]] officially to train Phosphorian divisions as a peacekeeping force in the region.

=== War plan crimson ===
Once CPD forces entered Konig the Aenian [[EXCOMM]] comittee no longer saw diplomacy as a viable option to avert the crisis. Then president of Aenia (firstname) Fournloke called an emergency session of congress, however he could theoretically act without their approval due to the war powers act passed only two years prior. Eventually the decision was made to mobilise the nation in the manner outlined by the War plan crimson, which had been developed with great secrecy since 2072.

To aid the Konigite Republican Army, the 3rd armoured division and 6th mechanised division moved along the [[Andeus river]] toward the frontlines. The 66th fighter wing and 39th air defence wing were also sent to reinforce the area. The Aenian national guard along with expeditionary forces from client states were also raised to defend against a theoretical push across the plains of Aenia.

With consultation from neoconservative economists and technocratic comittees, EXCOMM produces a defense spending hike equivilent to 40 million [[List of Currencies|Fund]]s, which immediatly go toward equipping factories for mass production of military hardware.

=== Operation Pre-Release ===
Citing the situation in Doren, the Northern Kombined States divert hundreds of bombers to airbases in [[Norland]], their ally in the region. Within a matter of days all the equipment, manpower, and fuel arrive, placing Doren within the reach of long range bombers from the NKS.

=== CPD Ultimatum and Tau Counterultimatum ===
In late december the Combined provinces of Doren deliver an ultimatum to Aenia and their allies; to remove the 501st legion and other intervention forces sent into [[Konig]], claiming the [[Tau Coalition]] is supporting an illegitimate government against the will of the Konigite people. If this was not accepted, it was made clear in no uncertain terms the Dorvic forces in Konig and those on the CPD-Amber border will advance in a punitive measure.

The ultimatum's response was delayed as Constitutionalist Konig and their allies heavily fortified the Andean gap, a section of plains in central Konig seen as the most likely path for a mass armoured assault, and beyond which lies the industrial heartland of Aeseria. Thoroughly entrenched by the 30th of December, the Tau Coalition sent a counter-ultimatum to the CPD and their allies, signed by Supreme commander [[Obama Vikus|Vikus]] himself. They demanded the immediate withdrawal of Dorenian support for the National-Bolshevist regime in Konig and the recognition of Bachmeier's government in exile. If this was not done within 24 hours, war was to occur between the Tau Coalition and the Combined Provinces of Doren.

One minute after the Tau ultimatum, the Aenian armoured and air forces engaged in intense warfare for control over the Andean gap, while longer ranged aircraft incurred to Dorenian airspace to strike logistical elements. ICBM's launched from their platforms in north point as a massive air battle began over eastern [[Aenia]].

Following the Tau coalition's declaration of war, the prime minister of Zokesia Albert Yosif became gravely ill under suspicious circumstances following a meal at parliament. Chancellor [[Francisco Grail]] took on the office of acting prime minister, causing his opposition in the Social Republicans to walk out in protest. Seizing the opportunity, he called upon emergency powers to declare war on the Combined Provinces of Doren, citing the containment of communism as reason.

The Konig crisis were a series of interrelated diplomatic incidents which took place at the beginning of 2080, which eventually spiraled into the [[Second Continental War]]. The crisis began in December with the collapse of a pro-Doren government in [[Konig]] following a controversial sacking of it's previous prime minister, eventually devolving into a civil war between Constitutionalist Konig and National-Bolshevist Konig.

== Background ==
[[Konig]] had been within the Aeserian sphere of influence following the defeat of [[PAKT]] in 2065, and represented a strategically vital buffer state between [[Aenia]] and the rest of continental Doren. Over the next 15 years it slowly drifted toward favourable relations with Doren, helped in part due to CPD influence. This was tolerated by the [[Aenia|FCA]] as it did not appear like the small nation would become aligned with doren any time in the near future, and they were held up by other matters such as [[Gorodsky]] and affairs in Mlorba.

=== New year's coup ===
This situation came to an end in early December 2080 as the deeply authoritarian [[Konig|Konigite]] united assemebly which controversially replaced it's pro-Aenian prime minister [[Jarvis Bachmeier]] in favour of a Pro-doren National-Bolshevist political party ''Alternativa za Konig'' (Alternative for Konig). Several days of protests followed, culminating in a partially successful coup d'etat to oust the new government, effectively causing the western half of the nation to split away.

Caught in a situation rapidly devolving into civil war, the Pro-doren government called upon the CPD for aid, who accepted the offer and mobilise armoured forces in preparation to aid their new allies in Konig.

=== Aenian-Doreno invasion ===
After a secret meeting, Dorvic armoured forces were given the order to cross the border into eastern [[Konig]] and destroy the Constitutionalist opposition. At the same time the Aenian 501st legion was quickly redirected from [[Gagriel]] to aid Constitutionalist Konig, whose capital was abandoned as their leaders fled to [[North Point]] to form a government in exile. Supporters of Bachmeier's government and members of Konigite's defence forces consolidate into a new iteration of the [[Konig Republican Army]], starting a guerilla war against the invaders in an effort to buy time for prospective Aenian intervention.

=== Zokesian response ===
Following the invasion, the tense peace in [[Zokesia]]'s parliament shattered as the Social Republicans attempted to produce a bill to block any aid to Aenia, while Chancellor Grail and the Stahlpakt adamantly threw their support toward fellow NEOCON members. In the streets of [[Ezekialgrad]], fights broke out between the Blutgard and anti-war protestors. Seeing the division, the council of Doren sent a representative to speak to prime minister [[Albert Yosif]] about a peaceful agreement. Limited by opposition, Grail ordered the relocation of Zokesian army and Air forces to [[Phosphor]] officially to train Phosphorian divisions as a peacekeeping force in the region.

=== War plan crimson ===
Once CPD forces entered Konig the Aenian [[EXCOMM]] comittee no longer saw diplomacy as a viable option to avert the crisis. Then president of Aenia (firstname) Fournloke called an emergency session of congress, however he could theoretically act without their approval due to the war powers act passed only two years prior. Eventually the decision was made to mobilise the nation in the manner outlined by the War plan crimson, which had been developed with great secrecy since 2072.

To aid the Konigite Republican Army, the 3rd armoured division and 6th mechanised division moved along the [[Andeus river]] toward the frontlines. The 66th fighter wing and 39th air defence wing were also sent to reinforce the area. The Aenian national guard along with expeditionary forces from client states were also raised to defend against a theoretical push across the plains of Aenia.

With consultation from neoconservative economists and technocratic comittees, EXCOMM produces a defense spending hike equivilent to 40 million [[List of Currencies|Fund]]s, which immediatly go toward equipping factories for mass production of military hardware.

=== Operation Pre-Release ===
Citing the situation in Doren, the Northern Kombined States divert hundreds of bombers to airbases in [[Norland]], their ally in the region. Within a matter of days all the equipment, manpower, and fuel arrive, placing Doren within the reach of long range bombers from the NKS.

=== CPD Ultimatum and Tau Counterultimatum ===
In late december the Combined provinces of Doren deliver an ultimatum to Aenia and their allies; to remove the 501st legion and other intervention forces sent into [[Konig]], claiming the [[Tau Coalition]] is supporting an illegitimate government against the will of the Konigite people. If this was not accepted, it was made clear in no uncertain terms the Dorvic forces in Konig and those on the CPD-Amber border will advance in a punitive measure.

The ultimatum's response was delayed as Constitutionalist Konig and their allies heavily fortified the Andean gap, a section of plains in central Konig seen as the most likely path for a mass armoured assault, and beyond which lies the industrial heartland of Aeseria. Thoroughly entrenched by the 30th of December, the Tau Coalition sent a counter-ultimatum to the CPD and their allies, signed by Supreme commander [[Vikus|Obama Vikus]] himself. They demanded the immediate withdrawal of Dorenian support for the National-Bolshevist regime in Konig and the recognition of Bachmeier's government in exile. If this was not done within 24 hours, war was to occur between the Tau Coalition and the Combined Provinces of Doren.

One minute after the Tau ultimatum, the Aenian armoured and air forces engaged in intense warfare for control over the Andean gap, while longer ranged aircraft incurred to Dorenian airspace to strike logistical elements. ICBM's launched from their platforms in north point as a massive air battle began over eastern [[Aenia]].

=== Zokesia declares war ===
Following the Tau coalition's declaration of war, the prime minister of Zokesia Albert Yosif became gravely ill under suspicious circumstances following a meal at parliament. Chancellor [[Francisco Grail]] took on the office of acting prime minister, causing his opposition in the Social Republicans to walk out in protest. Seizing the opportunity, he called upon emergency powers to declare war on the Combined Provinces of Doren, citing the containment of communism as reason.

Following the declaration, Zokesian units stationed in Phosphor under the pretense of training crossed the border into Doren, and a limited orbital bombardment campaign began to slow Dorvic responses. The [[Second Continental War]] had entered full swing.

The Shattering is an eponym for the attacks which took place in the eastern hemisphere on January 18th, 2081, in which the Reciprocity lake states deployed their entire arsenal of [[Slow Bomb]]s and space fleet as a scorched earth measure as the [[Tau Coalition]]'s frontlines collapsed in the last moments of the [[Second Continental War]]. The resulting deaths numbered around ()-() million, and completely broke the Reciprocity and Doren for the next twenty years. Other nations like Aenia and Fegeland suffered less severe yet still devastating strikes which impaired their economies and political systems for years to come.

Shock rang out across the entire Solar system, both directly as refugees fled [[Kerbin]], and indirectly as the emotional response to the sheer loss of life defined politics for decades to come.

=== Strikes on the Reciprocity States ===
With Dorvic forces making great headway into the Reciprocal states, the long prepared scorched-earth measures were activated. Three Slow bomb type projectiles landed in Bitterwater lake, Sweetwater lake, and the Wolf's Jaw bay respectively. The majority of the other [[Slow Bomb|Slow bombs]] landed directly on Reciprocal territory, killing an estimated 1.5 million civilians, displacing another ten million, and completely destroying eleven cities. Toxic vapours were also released as polluted water evaporated and contaminated soil was churned up.

=== Continental Doren ===
While asteroid type slow bombs landed in the Reciprocity and elsewhere, the vast Reciprocal space fleet made up the majority of projectiles which hit [[Doren]].

Doren, Aenia, Behin, Lonely, Aquaria, and Fegeland were all hit by hundreds of thousands of tonnes of space debris, either directly dropped onto them or ejected from the planet following another strike and landing down as secondary impacts.

On may 23rd, two months after the initial strikes, a delayed class E slow bomb was fired into [[Doren]]. This is a lone outlier from the other objects which targetted specific points of interest, instead landing in the badlands between Kalini and New Rostrum.
=== Strikes on Aenia ===
As Asteroids and other projectiles landed in Doren and the Reciprocity, Central Aenian Air Defence Command discovered one of the Class E objects, Ulysseys 1994XF04, was veering off it's planned course for unknown reasons. They were able to predict the impact location as just off the Caledonian Coast, and this information was passed down to all civil authorities. Only a small fraction of the citizens were able to evacuate for a variety of reasons.

At 3:17 AM Ulysseys 1994XF04 detonated only 9 kilometres west of Comberth, the resulting fireball reached up to the stratosphere and vapourised many residential areas, while the shockwave levelled buildings further away. This shockwave also produced a tsunami, which levelled the remainder of downtown Comberth. In hours, 330,000 Comberthians perished, and another 1.7 million were displaced. Additionally, the majority of the Federal government were killed in the attack.

Immediately after the Ulysseys Disaster, smaller orbital debris rained down onto the Tioga region. Fires ripped through towns and the regional capital Los Canas suffered severe damage.

When news reached the [[Chevspendi]], mass hysteria ripped through the tribes as religious authorities and scholars interpreted this as a divine omen of the end times and the nearing of the completion of the prophecy of [[Ataqi Ouli]]. This hastened the subduction of the Cynazdic oligarchy and directly culminated in the [[Chevspendic invasion|Chevspendic invasion of Egercia]] and the formation of [[Sahr|Sahrland]].
