Delras is a small nation located in the North of the Forseti Peninsula, bordered by the Imperial Union and Alectonova in the north, and Salred in the south. Delras was formed alongside Salred in the year 2154 after the collapse of the Republic of Forseti and has gone more historic in its policies. The nation still retains its strong fishing industry owing to the extensive coastline and easy access to lakes, rivers, seas and oceans for a wide selection of fish. The nation is noted for its mild summers and sub-zero winters. Delras has very close ties to their neighbours and is a member of the Forseti Federation, a union containing Delras, Salred and South Forseti which is noted for its free trade, travel, and strong militaristic ties.

In the early 2100s however, it joined with other nations on the Forseti peninsula to form the Republic of Forseti. In the year 2154, a motion was passed through the two houses of the then government which split the nation apart again into Salred and Delras.

The Delrasi Government is formed from one House known as the Senate. The Senate contains 49 members, or Senators, (to avoid a motion getting an even 50-50 split) from 7 regions subdivided into 7 counties with 1 Senator per county being elected every 4 years. These Senators are voted in with a system of Single Transferable Voting whereby on election day, voters from each region are given 10 lists with candidates from each region and told to number them, their favourite as number one, their second favourite number two, and so on. Voters can put numbers next to as many or as few candidates as they like. To get elected, a candidate needs a set amount of votes, known as the quota. The people counting the votes work out the quota based on the number of vacancies and the number of votes cast. Each voter has one vote. Once the counting has finished, any candidate who has more number ones than the quota is elected. But, rather than ignore extra votes a candidate received after the amount they need to win, these votes move to each voter’s second favourite candidate. If no one reaches the quota, then the people counting the vote remove the least popular candidate. People who voted for them have their votes moved to their second favourite candidate. This process continues until every vacancy is filled. This system ensures that the Senate is a true representation of the people and ensures an even and unbiased vote.

There are a small number of parties to choose from given the small size of the senate and the ruling party holds at least 25 seats in parliament. This ruling party elects a leader who becomes the nation's President. Currently, the Civil Nationalist party are ruling the Senate holding 42 seats and the President is Lenardo Ricci.

The Delrasi Constitution gives all power to the government, however, the counties are locally run for issues of policing and community, but otherwise do not operate autonomously, and have little influence outside their county. The county of Dresa is directly ruled by the government as it consists of the capital.

Delras has very close relations with its neighbours and is a member of the Forseti Federation, a union between Delras, Salred and South Forseti. The three nations have very close ties and Salred and Delras share political ideologies. The Federation allows for free trade between the nations, to support the economies of the three, and free movement is also a distinct feature of the Federation, allowing citizens to freely travel in between nations, and live and work freely in another nation of the Federation.
The Federation also gives strong military bonds with interconnection between forces, research and deployment. Delras has pledged to support South Forseti in enforcing their tax through the Forseti Straight and after delivery of its navy from the Imperial Union has vowed to send its Second Carrier Task Force to assist in this.

However as stated above research is ongoing in Salred and Delras have already invested in various projects currently being undertaken, and factories have already been allocated to the production of aircraft and tanks, and dockyards and drydocks are being built and upgraded to handle the influx of the navy.
